This will be the 3rd matchup between these 2 rivals. The first 2 have gone completely against Ministry as Detroit has demolished the Ministry offense which is arguably one of the best in Osprey. Last season it came down to these 2 teams to determine who made the playoffs and Detroit knocked Ministry to their knees. This all sums up to quite a bit of revenge in the eyes of Ministry. Will this be the game that Ministry steals one from Detroit?

This is not new territory for Tampa. As the 2 time Osprey champs they know what it takes to win the league. Earlier this season these two teams squared off to a strong defensive struggle for 3 quarters until Tampa pulled away in the 4th. Tampa with their experience will send Kansas City packing out of the league.

Detroit / MoD thoughts.

This play I thought was going to do us in morale wise. Up until this point was pretty back and forth with only one good MoD drive.

Hate to see that kind of play let alone on our side of the field and Detroit capitalized which was worse imo.

A play that could have opened things up was the TE Lead play, almost each and every time the HB had to make a diving catch. Killed all momentum that play could have had.

The missed FG at half and INT in the redzone and late 3Q missed FG pretty much sealed the fate of Detroit as that was 13 points given away that should have been gimme points. At least 6 of them should have been gimme which puts Detroit ahead by 3 or down by 1 at this point. I think morale wise it tipped the scales despite MoD also missing a FG in this stretch.

As much as I want to say this one was won my MoD I will only contest that they did enough to not lose this game. They played mistake free football where Detroit had quite a few missed opportunities that either would have stretched the game into OT or put themselves in a position to win. Like most games it does come down to turnover differentials and execution and today that fell into the court of MoD doing what was needed.

All in all a competitive game that was much closer than score indicates due to missed opportunities by Detroit.
