Just want to say great game by Rosklide. We had every opportunity to win and just couldn't make it happen. Two missed field goals in the last 2 minutes. Ouch

Hey Ragu I am happy for you that we lost.

Ridiculous loss...
They threw two bombs and won.
Four turnovers, a missed extra point, a missed field as time expired in first half, no opportunity to send on field goal unit on their 20 as time expired in 4th quarter....
almost doubled them in yardage and still lose the game 12-14.
Simply ridiculous.
We deserved that win.

Power Backs got the boost last night.... BOZ's RB had 19 broken tackles.

now we get to play each other Roddy, chance for you to redeem selves.

No boost on Rocky's part just another game. As you can see he is inactive.

Fnord... I meant the Sim itself gave a boost to all power backs. the last two days have had a record number of broken tackles by teams facing power backs.

Not sure if Bort tweaked the tackling skill or what, but the last two days have shown a huge increase in missed tackles for teams against Power backs.


It wouldn't have made a difference in our game as you shut down our offense.

Yeah Bort did some tweaking on how the RBs move, more straight on instead of side to side. There is a thread about it here: http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=514206

With all that said, here's my theory in what many people here are experiencing right now:

Tackling is one of those skills most people aren't loading up on. If you're anything like me, you put enough points into Tackling so you don't miss tackles. As soon as you hit that point, you stop putting points there.

So if there's even a small tweak to the sim, since many people are probably sitting right on the line of making/missing a tackle, they'll be pushed over to the point of missing a tackle if anything moves that line even a little bit.

But once again, don't assume that, because there were a few more broken tackles last game that this is how the sim will be forever. Bort's still making tweaks and there will most likely be some much larger tweaks in the off-season to plan for.

Sure, it was the way that RBs run, to get them to run upfield a bit more with doing a bit less side-to-side motion. Since RBs are moving upfield more, they're picking up more speed, which makes them just a tiny drop tougher to get into position and make a good tackle.

Therefore more things like diving tackles are taking place, which have a lower success rate.

But like I said, it was a VERY small tweak. I haven't seen a single person even comment that they noticed their RB running differently yet.



Save us all some time I hated when they disabled the forum search ... no more easy searching for Bort and Mod posts. :/
