Meet the Lincoln League:

Alpha's winner has not been decided yet, so that's good. That's the last good thing I have to say about this league.
Beta's winner will not matter. Both Yorick and Denver have near mortal locks on the playoffs as both of them have a pair of inactives on their schedule. The third game for both isn't an inactive owner, but the roster has a bunch of inactive agents and CPU players. So the division will be won by the winner of their match which is the second to last league game. The winner of the league will be the top seed. The loser, even though they'll have the second best record for the entire league, will be the #4 seed. So no matter (barring one of them intentionally losing what should be three easy games and the one game verus ech other) what happens from here on out, Yorick and Denver will be playing in the first round of the playoffs.
Gamma's winner might not only finish with a losing record, they might very well be inactive. They cannot finish with a winning record (7-7 is the best possible).
So what's going to happen is that the two best teams will play each other to start the playoffs. Alpha's winner will be given a nearly guaranteed bye into the championship game. Until then, alpha teams still have something to play for. Gamma only has one active team. And beta, the best division, is now nothing but meaningless games even though we're pretty far out from the end of the season.
We need bigger leagues so we can have more playoff seedings and more than two rounds so we can increase the odds that the top teams will actually be rewarded come playoff time.
