Hi, I just started playing this a few days ago and seems pretty neat.
I was wondering how does a contracts salary matter?
When my player becomes better and I can sign a contract will I be able to
ask for more and how does getting a higher or lower salary change anything?

Low contracts have a max chemistry of 50
Medium contracts have no bonuses or penalties
High contracts give a bonus of 25 heart and 150% chemistry recovery.

Completely correct here - I just want to add that, beyond the extra heart and chemistry, there is no other bonus - you can't do anything with the money you "earn" (at least, not currently), so don't get too hung up on only having a medium contract.
