Alpine (1-0) (4) at Undead Xombi (0-1) (108)
MATCHUP: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/211/34

So how does a team come into one of the highest activity leagues and lay a complete egg like Undead Xombi, ohh wait he went inactive before the season was over and because team was on auto renew kept him with the team. Way to go GLB. No need to waste 1's and 0's of the interwebs with this prediction.

PREDICTION: Alpine 1 - Canton Bulldogs 0 *** Why not right?

DeepRoute Allstars (1-0) (26) at Helmand Provincial Pathan Pansies (0-1) (82)
MATCHUP: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/292/291

Helmand showed an extremely strong showing last week against Tampa taking them to the wire, had it not been for a missed FG they would have pulled the win out. Heart breaking loss none the less. DeepRoute on the other hand has had a little better performance from their toons when they took on Sacramento. After missing the playoffs last season, DeepRoute has something to prove and I believe they will take care of this game in that endeavor.

PREDICTION: DeepRoute Allstars 35 - Helmand Provincial Pathan Pansies 28

Tampa Piranhas (1-0) (10) at Sacramento B-Squad (0-1) (114)
MATCHUP: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/293/294

Tampa barely winning last week gives some cause for concern. Will they falter again and give away the game or will they shore things up and take care of business. There is one principal to remember here is that Tampa has won the league 2 seasons in a row and until they decide they want to lose they are provided the benefit of a doubt.

PREDICTION: Tampa Piranhas 24 - Sacramento B-Squad 7

===***===***===***===***===***===***===***===***===***===***===

Kansas City Beached Whales (1-0) (61) at Texas Toast (1-0) (202)
MATCHUP: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/358/354

Usually new teams are not given much hope when they first join the league and this was also true for Kansas City. The one exception to the rule Alpine lived up to their expectation of being a good team. But after the win against the Gamma Division 2 time winner some things can be shuffled up in Gamma. Was New York on auto pilot? Was Kansas City in beast mode? Was it an RNG or one team better than the other? No one really knows but based off history I will have to side with Kansas City.

PREDICTION: Kansas City Beached Whales 21 - Texas Toast 20

Rhode Island Aftershocks (0-1) (135) at New York Gangsters (0-1) (42)
MATCHUP: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/300/357

Rhode Island has enlisted some help this season from a few very active agents in Osprey. It is starting to take shape that Osprey is acting a bit like the SEC in college football. Of course there are bitter rivalries within the conference but the main goal is the make the conference as bad ass as possible and this extends to sharing players/coordinators and even tactics to better the competition. New York was surprised last week by the newcomer Kansas City and Rhode Island didn't expect Texas Toast to be relevant in this game. Both are possible things to come but during this game, New York should handle just fine.

PREDICTION: New York Gangsters 31 - Rhode Island Aftershocks 17

##################### GAME OF THE WEEK #####################

Ministry of Dotball (1-0) (33) at Detroit Foreclosures (0-1) (31)
MATCHUP: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/297/295

This matchup if nothing has been consistent across the seasons. Each season that goes by these two teams are in a dog fight to see who makes the playoffs whether from winning division or wildcard race. In Season 1 Ministry had the edge despite dropping the only game against Detriot 7-0. In season 2 Detroit also won the first game, but lost the second game which still allowed them to be the wildcard choice. Every game played between these two teams is decided by 7 or less points. Ministry and Detroit are bitter rivals on the field but are chums off the field. In addition if the game itself wasn't nail biting enough a wager was placed on this game. The winner will decide what to temporarily name the loser team for 1 league and 2 ladder games. In addition they would have full reign on team colors. Toon ball is some srs business!

PREDICTION: Ministry of Dotball 21 - Detroit Foreclosures 17

good write up, i think your pretty close on your predictions...i do see mod winning, rhode island still has major chemistry issues..i think texas is actually playing on a whole different level this season and will beat kansas city but i think kc is a damn good team. tampa will roll, helmand will win..and alpine will break 100 points..

Real question is how does a team go over a hard cap? Xombi has 3 QB's and the max is supposed to be 2 lol

Also, you might want to check up on that whole Deeproute missing playoffs twice. We beat them 1st round in the playoffs in S1. Just giving credit due to them

I'm more interested in why the third guy would sign when there were already 2 QBs.

Our division is definitely NOT the cake walk division! Huge Game TToast, probably would have won if not for...... Billy 'white shoes' Johnson! 2 TDs in 2 games and should've had 2 in this game. Looking forward to our next game and New York you better bring your A-game to next week's match with them.

As an unrelated sidenote, I'd like to point out that Beta has all 8 of the top defensive MVP candidates (heck, one guy on MoD has 4 of the top 5!)

that will probably change, given that xombi is a complete cupcake and they wrecked them hard.

@don the cupcake moniker came from previous seasons where gamma had 3 teams that really did nothing.

They did something... combined 3 teams for 8 wins

Rhode Island is no longer a state as I decimated it.
