Season 2 overview:
Early on in the season, I struggled to find a defensive formula that would actually hold up against good teams (lost two games by a large margin). After the second bad loss, I decided to have a very conservative defense, and it held up OK against some really good teams. However, I know it can be better, especially with the talent were adding this offseason.
Season 2 Defensive Stats:
Total Defense: 22nd
Pass Defense: 22nd
Rush Defense: 11th
Points Allowed: 17th
Pass Yards Allowed: 4003 (we allowed more than we threw for :facepalm
Sacks: 54
Interceptions: 7
Rushing Yards Allowed: 1200
Forced Fumbles: 17
Defensive TD: 1
Points Allowed: 275
The talent is there, the gameplan wasnt.
What SPARTA is looking for in a DC:
1) At least 20 games of defensive coordinator experience
2) Of those 20 games, you must have at least a 65% win percentage (13 wins / 7 losses or better)
3) Overview of your coaching scheme and what your goals are prior to being signed on
