If i have the flex, and I own the team, and its my money...


Could we be able as owners be allowed to use either your flex points or a staff account of flex points that can be used not only for scrims, but to help pay for players boosts. I figure its money all the same to GLB, and I dont see how that would devalue the flex system. Any feedback?

Please no. If you do that, then any time you're trying to sign a free agent, the first question will be "do you pay for boosts", which takes ownership from nominally $5 per season to suddenly over $100 if you want to be competitive. While it can technically be done under the table right now, making that into an actual, sanctioned system would wreak havoc on many owners.

I see that but why not if its capped. 3 maybe 5 for an owner. Some pay to be competitive, thats totally fine. I just see some players can only afford to get one of the two. Maybe that little owner help cause being an owner what else is there really to do if you dish out staff positions? An owner is the financial backbone of the team.

Nope Nope Nope. I already have to pay 500 flex per season

But still, then players aren't going to want to sign unless you pay for their boost.

Or what if I pay for a boost then they leave my team next season?

Too much bad than good can come out of this

True, but anything could happen. A lot of players seem to leave when they create their own team, I have no control over that.

If they leave the team the Flex could go back into the team Flex pool.

ETA: sounds painful to code and keep a track of though.

The flex gets back, essentially undoing the boosting? Thats impossible with how skill points work in this game, since skills get more expensive as you invest more. Free agency would have to come with a free respec, essentially

and done...The expectations will kill.
One of the best things ogglb did was make player eq independent of team salary. Now you are trying to find a way for team owners to use actual money for player financing instead of just perks.
Game doesnt need a welfare system.
