I will try to put up some sporadic rankings, but I can't do game by game like I have in the past. Enjoy and discuss!
Also, for those that have read my posts in the past, you know the early posts are an attempt to reflect the team as well as their current victories. This post isn't predictive in nature and some of the teams are definitely not ranked based on my season long expectations.
#1. Straight Cocks Homie - SCH started the season with a very good East opponent in Friendly City and pulled out a nice victory. SCH followed that up with a decisive victory over a potential Western Conference playoff team in Little Green Men. Dave Mr Majors took major steps last year with this team and I am expecting a big year out of them. A few seasons ago SCH was known for making it to the playoffs and fizzling out, but this season is their chance to put down their foot print as an elite team.
#2. Fighting Gamecocks - FGC demolished East-West to kick off the season in impressive fashion. East-West maybe be 0-2, but they are easily a playoff team in the West. FGC didn't have the expected margin of victory over Szolnok, but that doesn't concern me. If Szolnok could figure out how to score, they could be a playoff team. FGC has back to back match-ups against Subversive and All Pro, so we will have a pretty clear picture of the East very soon.
#3.Crib Midgets - Crib started off the season's first two games with perfect defense against two no boost squads. However the next three games are against SoA, Epic and Straight Cock so the true test is on the way. Crib took major leaps last year with jkid and I expect they will be tough again all year.
#4. All Pro Falcons - A.I.'s Falcons are better than 4th in my eyes, but they have played two awful teams so far so I couldn't justify putting them any higher. This is definitely a solid team and will likely be a title contender.
#5.OffTopica Redemption - OffTopica dove in last year and had a great season in the West but the season ended in the 9th place in the West and demotion. OffTopica claims one blow out over a very solid team in SoA despite the rocky start. We will see if OffTopica can truly be a top team this year, but my feeling is that this ranking is too high.
#6. Subversive Education - Itsply had a great week 1 victory over the Little Green Men and did enough to beat Coastal Empire in week 2. Itsply had a great season last year and is looking to capitalize in S40. Week 3 brings FGC and the chance for Subversive to prove they are the team in the East to beat.
#7. TazVikes Nordica - Taz can claim a nice victory in week 1 over SoA, but doesn't play any of the big name teams in the East for a long time. Taz is a perennial playoff team but needs to take a nice step forward to start winning in the playoffs.
#8. Lunch Box - Nif and BK have not played a great early season schedule, but claims a perfect defense so far and scored over 40 in each game. Week 4 brings Gerr's Bears to town in what could be an important seeding game.
#9. Chicago 85' Bears - Gerr has a pretty solid first half schedule with games against Epic, East-West and Lunch Box but so far the games just have not been that impressive. Putting Gerr here based on faith and two victories.
#10. Epic Holiday - I definitely feel that this team is better than 10th, but the first two games were maybe not as impressive as I felt they could have been. Epic played a CPU to start and played a close game against East-West. Epic showed a lot of talent last year and I expect them to be a high seed in the West.
