I went through the top 25 rookie teams on the ladder at this moment and entered the following stats for each of their CBs into a spreadsheet:
Targets, Receptions Allowed, Interceptions, Forced Fumbles, Sacks, Tackles for Loss, and Hurries.

I then sorted the list by percent of receptions allowed (targets / rec all), number of takeaways (ff + int), and penetration (sacks + tfl + .5*hurries). The top fifteen names in each category got assigned points based on their position in the list (15 points for first place, 1 point for 15th). I then added up all of the points and came up with a list of who I believe to be the best (most productive) CBs in the game at the moment. Without further ado, here are the top ten in order, with point totals:

T1st. Asa Sharah (26.5) - PAIN NATION MIDGETS - 89stepside (http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/27555)
T1st. Forrest Eldridge (26.5) - Tampa Bay Thunder - DeeVee8 (http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/37651)
2nd. Nelly * (16) - Rapper's Delight - bhall43 (http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/35258)
3rd. Zorp CB (15.5) - Engage With Zorp! - Parab00n (http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/36397)
4th. NT Covered By Woods (15) - Shangri-La Dragon's Revenge - DEVIL HALL (http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/42887)
5th. Cairne Bloodhoof (14.5) - The Salty Runback - Andrew1782 (http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/42952)
6th. Undead King Bael (14) - The Salty Runback - Blastoh (http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/42953)
T7th. NT Revis Kingdom (13) - Shangri-La Dragon's Revenge - DEVIL HALL (http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/42873)
T7th. NT Eagles Claw (13) - Shangri-La Dragon's Revenge - DEVIL HALL (http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/42892)

T8th. Luda cris (12) - Rapper's Delight - bhall43 (http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/35254)
T8th. Kevon Seymore (12) - Dryden Blue Balls - Francesco23 (http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/42063)
T8th. Kula Shaker (12) - New York Firetails - Andypresto (http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/28867)
T8th. Authentic Benihana (12) - Engage With Zorp - Sunshineduck (http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/34802)

T8th. Red Wolf (12) - Tampa Bay Thunder - DeeVee8 (http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/37708)
9th. EBerry Rathman (11.5) - Dyslexia Untied - Jamaisme (http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/38177)
T10th. Albatross Jackson (10.5) - Edmonton Wolverines - Furioso (http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/37063)
T10th. Damon Webb II (10.5) - Detroit Muscle - Liu374 (http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/37118)

Notes:
- I can't look at every team's CBs. If you'd like me to evaluate your CB and your team is in the top 50 of the ladder, please contact me by PM with a link to your CB. Thank you.

- Ties were given the average number of points awarded to all occupied positions. For example, if there was a tie for 1st and 2nd in a particular field, each player would be awarded 14.5 points. If there were a tie for 7th, 8th, and 9th, each player would receive 8 points.

- Where there were too many ties to fit everyone into the top 15 (for example, the last awardee in the takeaways category who had 2 takeaways and was tied with a bunch of others who also had 2 takeaways) who made the cutoff was determined by lowest %RecAll.

- These are just a preview into what I'm doing. I'll re-tally it at the end of the regular season.

I don't know, but start to finish on rookie and sophomore CBs was six and a half hours.

Was looking over my numbers and realized I somehow missed Revis Kingdom and Red Wolf, so the standings have been shaken up a bit from what I originally posted. They're correct now.

the dude at the top of this list is actually in our league. he gave up 9 of his 29 receptions in that game, funnily enough. we played the second dude in a scrim. 35 targets and 17 recallowed. that's p astonishing. 35 targets in one game is a lot.

Nelly is an exceptional CB. He's the only one that made the top-15 in each category (%rec all, takeaways, penetration).

I am pretty sure it was his time at CB4 though. When people were spamming the shit out of those spread plays cover 2 allowed him to shine a lot. I have been blitzing so much lately that nobody is really shining in coverage all that much but cover 2 does help a lot on those deep plays for CB stats.
