Don't take my advice the wrong way, but your player is behind on exp. Since its your free player, i would suggest retiring him, and remaking him. Get him on a team right away, and worry about getting on a good team next season. You may not be able to get a HB on a team this late in the season. There are literally oodles of HB's without a team, because that's what everybody wants to build.
