Leading by 3, 0:44 on the clock, opponent with 1 time out. The QB passes on first down and kneels on 2nd and 3rd downs.

I've also seen other examples where a team runs a play on first down when they're able to run out the clock. Why risk turning the ball over when a series of kneels will win the game?

I've also seen my team kneel on the goalline then kick a field goal to take the edge over a close game instead of just running it in.

i'd say just take what you get since it hasn't cost anyone (atleast any1 who cares) the game yet.
