Because it's broken and annoying. I have to scroll past it to get to my players and it has no value whatsoever. Every play is a forced fumble or int.

Yeah, it bugs me too. Wouldn't mind if it didn't take up as much room. Maybe if it gave a brief summary, like Int TD, rather than the full play text.

are you using chrome? I wrote a quick extension to hide it. Added it on to my existing clock in the bottom bar extension.

Any chance that could be done in Greasemonkey for us Firefox users?

It's most likely my ignorance of FF and/or GreaseMonkey, but I cannot get it to work there. It's very basic and simple jquery(javascript library) code that i am using. But, whenever I load the jquery library into greasemonkey[even with my code removed], GLB2 has major problems(entire pieces disappearing). This isn't the case with Chrome. I will try to look into it more this weekend when i have more time.

I'd love to have your script since I am using chrome.
It is not a big bother when checking the site on my laptop but it's more of a bother on the phone because it takes up alot of space on the mobile page and you are likely to sprain your thumb just trying to scroll past that crap.
And yes, I know there's a players only page but I like the hmepage because i can scroll down and see if there are any messages in forums for my players, team or coached teams at a glance!

Here ya go guys. This is the greasemonkey script. for chrome users (and on mobile chrome) you can get TamperMonkey installed and run this too. I decided to remove all JQuery, and just go basic javascript. I tested this on Chrome v32.0.1700.107 and FF v27.0.1
this includes both:
1) Clock on bottom left in the grey playbar
2) hides the "plays" on the home page.
you can edit the scripts to turn off either one. I made notes in teh scripts to show which parts need to be commented to turn off either feature. to comment a line just put // in front of it.

hope that helps guys. please send me messages if you find problems.

This worked, but is there any way to keep the Game News/Announcements?

I grabbed that newest version and its nice to have the page cleaner. Having announcements still appear would be nice, though.
