anyone think this has a chance to work?

Nope. You have higher maxes, but not enough SP's to get there. It will work with Superstar, but there are still better mathematical options at most positions.

lol as in i know we are screwed... but how bad i understand you cant get them all maxed out and dont think that was the purpose. My thoughts are maybe it would get you a leg up by season 5 in critical areas... did that make sense?

If my math is correct, you would have been far better off choosing a set of Traits that allow you a big discount on the 3-4 areas you really want to focus on and use cap boosters to cover the weak spots.

No way. Higher maxes mean nothing if you cannot even sniff them.

Can't you do the 'inspect element' trick and see exactly how far the SP you get will go toward maximizing slow builds?

Yes you can. I did the "inspect element" thing on my regular build guys and I didn't come close to maxing out all the skills I wanted to max out.

The point is here to max out certain skills, not "all" the skills you want. With Slow Builds, I am not looking to max out 5 skills, I want to max out, or go pretty high on just 2/3.

So if you are looking for more balanced builds, then no. But if you want min/max builds, then it has benefits. There are ways to reach high marks.

So in the end, when I have certain positions that are flat out faster/stronger etc. than other players, but maybe other teams are "all around" more balanced, who knows what plays out as better.

No one knows now what will be better in 3 seasons. I know right now, my team is completely slow built, and if you are not, your skills are cheaper, and theoretically you should have more skills filled out, yet we compete with any team in the game. Now when things get more expensive, will that cause a hit on other skills sure - but I am willing to take my chances. My WRs won't have as much secondary skills pumped like Vertical, Diving, Grip, Snap Reaction, etc, but they will definitely be faster, possibly more elusive, better hands.

I will add this. Early on in GLB 1, everyone talked bout min/maxing, and so many people warned about lower secondary skills. Yet after a few seasons, the slow built teams reigned supreme. I know this game is much different, and training was a major part of slow building, but here I am just looking to be able to take certain skills higher than others.

Will my 10 more in Speed and Quickness make a huge difference than your 10 more in Vertical, Snap Reaction, Diving and Route Skills? That remains to be seen.

I beleive this was our theory as well. I'm glad someone with a dominate team agrees...makes us feel like were not total losers. Keep in mind this, Do you think they are going to create a slow build ability, only for it not to be use full somehow??

Maybe you dont NEED to max...

I played these kinds of games for a decade, algorithms change, the games add new things to switch things up, ect and so on. There is no use predicting end-builds and finding out how many SP you'll get in your lifetime, and thinking that there will not be enough SP. Bort could up the SP distribution in season 6 for all we know.

GLB1 was completely different in season 10 than it was in season 1. We had no AEQ, the training wasnt as complicated, less skill points, no endorsements, no BTs, and many other things.
