Note this shows just how far DD is out in front and will also give people insight into how far they're off where they want to be. Note that when you win a ladder game you generally gain roughly 10 rating points (ie DD started at 1200 and are +37 and have a gain of 370).

Not really true - it's just that DD is far enough ahead that they're getting less and less points per win.
Alpine is +21 wins but has gained about +260 rating. In general, if you play someone close to you in rating each time, you'll gain or lose about 16 points in your system. But league games may have much bigger gaps, and in some cases in the ladder you'll play someone you're not really that close to in rating, just ranking. DD, for example, *can't* play anyone close to them in rating.

The main difference is that teams introduced after S1D1 are given a more reasonable starting rating, instead of "worse than everyone" that GLB2 uses. That includes teams introduced midseason S1, and teams created at the start of S2, both sophomore and rookie, and teams that dropped down were dropped to be the same as S2 starting teams.
