Time for some rankings now that I have some time to write them up! A very interesting two rounds in the league with the Bogans being toppled for the first time and a few teams emerging from the pack as clear contenders. Lets get this started!

Week 7 quick picks

Fullerton Fury 14 Brisbane Bogans 30
Montgomery Wildcats 9 Regina Rebels 7
New York Masons 24 All Voracious Wolverines 0
Black Sea Night Stalkers 14 Texas State Fightin Armadillos 21
RFL Boys 0 Faber Animals 35
Erkner Razorbacks 21 Charlotte Panthers 14

1. Erkner Razorbacks (League 5-1, Ladder 35)

Gotta go with ladder rankings to separate Brisbane and Erkner now Brisbane have lost a game. Both are still clear favourites to win their divisions but Texas is now hot on Erkner's heels! Should continue to win this week against the Panthers.

2. Brisbane Bogans (League 5-1, Ladder 45)

Tough loss to Texas 2 weeks ago set Brisbane back but they regained their confidence last week with a thrashing of RFL. A stronger challenger presents this week but will the number 1 offense be troubled? Doubt it.

3. Black Sea Night Stalkers (League 5-1, Ladder 104)

Stalkers have been quietly winning games and have the lead in alpha heading in to the half way mark of the season. They still have issues on offense but having the number 1 defense in the league is making up for that. I'm predicting they go down this week to the red hot Armadillos. As that offense just won't be able to produce the points needed. Team is still out of the top 100 which just shows how weak Cougar really is.

4. Texas State Fightin Armadillos (League 4-2, Ladder 111)

Three wins in a row for Texas and I feel like there are plenty more coming their way. Currently in the drivers seat for the wild card spot but they may be rueing that week 1 loss to RFL! How bad does that look right now! If teams can stop their run game however they may be in for a tough ride.

5. Faber Animals (Dallas Annihilators) (League 4-2, Ladder 87)

We have a name change here hopefully that'll come with a renewed defense as that's what has been letting Fabar down so far. The third team on the ladder in Cougar due to a very strong ladder showing this season. Could be a tough run to get a play off spot though with a strong Brisbane in their div and Texas fighting strongly for a wild card.

6. New York Masons (League 4-2, Ladder 116)

Easy win this week for the Masons who are keeping pace with the Stalkers for Alpha div. These guys are still my pick for Alpha div champions as they're getting their shit sorted out and will continue to get stronger over the season. Will be looking to enter their divisional games at most one game behind Black Sea and have some crucial matchups (Brisbane, Erkner) in the second half of their interdivisional games.

7. Fullerton Fury (League 3-3, Ladder 137)

After a strong start to the season Fullerton have fallen off the wagon a bit. Rookies in their roster and a cpu are not helping and they'll continue their slide out of Alpha div championship contention over the next few weeks.

8. Charlotte Panthers (League 2-4, Ladder 149, 1 rookie team ahead of them)

Good win over a bad team and bad loss against a decent one. Still a bottom 6 team but promising signs are there. Big match up this week with chemistry problems subsiding their true strength should start to show. If they continue to play poorly then their excuse will no longer be their and questions will need to be asked of wine's builds and game planning.

9. Regina Rebels (League 2-4, Ladder 151, 1 rookie team ahead of them)

Being demolished by the Masons just proved how far this team has fallen in one season. Not going to be any playoffs for Regina this time and I expect them to fall further behind the top rookie teams before the season finishes. (Prediction Regina 10 Wolves 6)

10. Montgomery Wildcats (League 1-5, Ladder 170, 10 rookie teams ahead of them)

A team with the potential for an upset but easy pickings for most teams. Have real possibilities of spoiling the Alpha div title for someone at the end of the season. Lots of work to do to be competitive next season. (Prediction Wildcats 14 Erkner 21)

11. All Voracious Wolverines (League 0-6, Ladder 191, 23 rookie teams ahead of them)

Wolves are getting worse not better; they have coaching staff so maybe next season is better? If cougar league is going to improve it needs to come from the bottom teams like the wolves. (Prediction Wolves 3 Regina 10)

12. RFL Boys (League 1-5, Ladder 211, 39 rookie teams ahead of them)

These guys are going to start losing to rookie teams in ladder games. Everyone can count them as a bye and hopefully we get a competitive team next season. (Prediction RFL 0 Stalkers 10)

Yeah you guys had a tight one! Managed to win with only 19 min possession too... not going to be able to hit those long run tds against better teams!

Well, the 19 minutes came mainly because of the one touch TDs^^ And ofc the bad Defense of us :/
