I don't know how many I've seen that could be legitimately be called a KL and be called fumble and vice a versa, but we get plays like this that are so wrong its not even funny. This is a pretty hilarious bug.
It seems like the first thing I would do is not check for a Knocked Loose after X amount of frames/ticks though to prevent that exact thing from happening.
If that really doesn't exist, I wonder what else gets calculated behind the scenes later than it should. There are a ton of other unexplained occurrences with pathing & blocking that have just been explained away as low level builds. Maybe the relationship between ticks and what we actually see is a little stranger than originally thought.
