Another day, another week in GLB2.
Also, as a heads up, I won't be doing a preview for the games on the 21st. I have a Court Date on the 20th.
So, if someone wants to do a game preview for Week 8, I'd appreciate it.
As of now though, Week 6 is here! so let's get down to business.
Alpine vs. Rhode Island Aftershocks
With Alpine losing their first game of the season [finally], they are looking to move on ahead; and what better way than to pick on the winless team in Gamma Division? This one is not going to be a shocker because we all know who is going to win this one as Rhode Island is having a hard time competing with even some of the less difficult teams in the league. Alpine is hands down the best team in this league, record wise and rank wise for the statistics. Not much to really pump this game up as Alpine is going to destroy Rhode Island.
Conclusion: Alpine 46 - Rhode Island 0

Canton Bulldogs vs. DeepRoute Allstars
DeepRoute has gotten themselves in a bit of a rut with losing 2 Regular Season games in a row, last one being routed by Alpine in a blowout. Right now, they are limping in this game against Canton who has been on a 4 game losing streak losing 2 regular and 2 ladder games in a row. This is a morale game to see who can get themselves out of their rut first. Both teams are well below average in statistical ratings. As stated, this is the morale game for both teams. Expect DeepRoute to run more than pass and expect Canton to pass more than run. I see DeepRoute winning this one in a close game.
Conclusion: Deeproute 10 - Canton 7

Ministry of Dotball vs. New York Gangsters
This is definitely the game of the Week as Ministry is looking for revenge for losing their only regular season game to New York last Season and is still needing some wins to stay alive this season for the Playoffs. Ministry has been widely inconsistent with their games, but seem to have found their niche winning 2 regular season games in a row. New York though is trying to get back to their old ways since winning 1 out of their last 3 games. Expect a shootout from these two as it's not going to be a real high scoring game, but, going to be a back and forth matchup. I see Ministry pulling out late in the 4th quarter and winning
Conclusion: Ministry 17 - New York 12

Tampa Piranhas vs. Detroit Foreclosures
This was the second one I thought of choosing as GOTW, but, the other one meant more from last season. These two are high octane fighters going head to head. Detroit has finally found it's ground after an early stumble and Tampa is striding along with only 1 loss from the beginning of the season. This one Detroit has to win to keep Ministry back off their back. Expect this to be a passing shootout with Detroit pulling out ahead.
Conclusion: Detroit 32 - Tampa 28

South 'Cooley-High' Rangers vs. Helmand Provincial Pathan Pansies
South has been a bit of disappointment for the Regular Season games as I had some hopes for them and cleaning up from last season. It's hard for them in this game as Helmand is riding high and winning their last 2 regular season games. Morale is dropping for Cooley and it's dropping hard while Helmand's morale is climbing steadily. South is going to have to dig deep and far to pull this one out to win this game and stop Helmand's morale climb. I expect that Helmand will pull this one out despite a tough battle from Cooley's late game surge.
Conclusion: Helmand 21 - Cooley 17

Texas Toast vs. Sacramento B-Squad
Texas was playing along side New York for first place until New York beat them in their battle for first place. Since that loss. They have lost 2 more regular season games and are dropping fast out of the playoff race. On the other side, you have Sacramento who looks like they are not going to be in any contention for playoff consideration in any way soon. This game is Texas's to lose and should be an easy win for Texas. If they lose this one, expect them to be considered out for playoff contention.
Conclusion: Texas 24 - Sacramento 7
