Does anyone know if Tunnel Vision will work for a DT since he's technically never blitzing the QB like a LB/CB/FS/SS would?

Technically speaking, a defensive lineman isn't blitzing, they're rushing the passer. Tunnel Vision's activation is blitzing the QB, which is sending extra players at the QB who aren't necessarily always trying to get to him (like linemen are unless it's a zone or drop back for the DEs). So his question is if Tunnel Vision will activate for a DT pass rushing the QB since it needs to be a blitz that activates it, and DTs don't blitz.

Tunnel Vision wouldn't be an option on the player if it didn't work. If you're rushing the passer, then Tunnel Vision can fire.

A "blitz" is a play that sends additional "rushers" beyond the downed linemen, and a "blitzer" is one of these extra rushers

This doesn't happen in glb
So it's safe to assume for in game purposes that blitzer means pass rusher or maybe only pass rusher on blitzes only
But the downed d linemen are not what you would call blitzers in real life

Unless a dt is in a rare zone they are blitzing. Yes tunnel vision works.
