Whether it's like the pros, in that sacks count against pass yardage, or in college, where sacks count as runs, they need to count against net yardage somehow. Of course, with the current sack rate that might lead to depressing results.

Agreed; given that we know for certain if it was a "Designated passing play" or not, I think sacks should be against the total passing yards in the team stats, which then would be included in the Net Yards.
