through day 1 of this year, nickle pleez converts 9 of 12 FG attempts with a handful from 30+ and 40+. in scrimmages at the end of last season he was 4/8, basically what you expect from a brand new kicker if not above average. nickle pleez is pretty happy.

somehow starting day 2 of this season, as nickle pleez has a couple points added to the usual kicker things like kick accuracy, kick consistency, etc, nickle pleez has missed TWENTY SIX FIELD GOALS IN A ROW. literally every single one attempted over the past 16 games.

to go from 9/12 to 0/26 is a near statistical impossibility even if you ignore that adding SPs is supposed to make a player better.

did ziot hack my account again to make this happen?

Is he kicking from farther away? Was he under a high contract last season? Is your line getting dominated, so that he is feeling intimidation? Did you change the place holder?

There are a lot of things I can think of that might account for a worse season.

Given that case in all seriousness going 0fer is a little far fetched.

Without looking, I can't tell if he's attempting 50 yarders.

The 9/12 start was days 0 and 1 this season. On a medium contract, pretty good rookie team. the 4/8 in scrimmages last year was just to expand the sample of performing at an expected level.

kick distance has been about a normal distribution of field goal range kicks, its not like hes attempting 50 yarders. 0/26 is completely insane even if they were all from 40. hell hes only 5/7 on extra points in league/ladder games during this stretch.

Okay, so you retired a bot and created a new one and are trying to compare a bot on an old team to this one?

Bots have trouble with 30 yarders in rookie, but I see your team likes to attempt 40+ yarders.

Chemistry is a huge issue. You have very low FG Power, so those 40+ yarders should be 100% off the table.

You are comparing an end of season bot to a first five games bot. You have ~25-30 less kick accuracy than you will have at the end of the season.

The Holder is important? lol

Shit, you attempted 4 FGs in this game, all of them were over 40 yards!

K Nickle Pleez attempted a 48 yard field goal, but it was no good!
K Nickle Pleez attempted a 44 yard field goal, but it was no good!
K Nickle Pleez attempted a 44 yard field goal, but it was no good!
K Nickle Pleez attempted a 45 yard field goal, but it was no good!

I can't watch the replays at work, but I'm guessing you have morale and stamina issues in addition to low kick power.

Are you missing short or wide? Kicks from that distance could be that you don't have the power or accuracy to make.

Get your team to set your max FG distance to 35 yards until you are level 3 or higher.

Very. QBs have the leadership ability, which is not active if they are on the bench.

Fact.

Bears. Beats. QBs hold the ball better.

no I am not! I didn't retire anyone and I am not some complete noob who has no idea what this game is.

I made a rookie during the offseason before the official season switch, day 50 or whatever. He didnt play any real games or have any xp, just a couple scrimmages. he is the same player I linked in the op, check the game log.

This same brand new player went 9/12 kicking field goals the first two days of this season. Including scrimmages and pickups that was 5 games or so. 5 games as a rookie with no SPs and he went 9/12, again with a handful of those over 40 yards.

He then goes on to miss TWENTY SIX FIELD GOALS IN A ROW as he adds SP! And that's because of the holder?

Spelling fixed.

What kind of bear is best?
That's a ridiculous question.
FALSE. Black bear.

This is bizarre - and honestly I would post it in bugs rather than here.

Other random question (which you can answer if you look) - is there a carry over from game to game in terms of morale...either seen or unseen?

This seems impossible

So, I've not made a kicker, so I'm just taking shots in the dark here.

The early 41 and 44 yard FGs I would call "a fluke". And it doesn't appear you've added any SP into FG power since then, either. Several of your very long FGs are well short. At a glance, I'd say at least half of your missed kicks are over 40 yards and he doesn't really stand a chance of making them. I have no idea why they made before or what it would take to make them again.
So now we're like 10-13 missed FGs in a row, which still sucks, but isn't nearly as bad. And we don't know the effects of various things in FG kicking - is there some concept of a "pressure situation" that makes some FGs harder? There may (probably?) be an effect on the kicker after missing a kick, so the misses on long kicks earlier in the game may be affecting the shorter ones. And so forth, although I'm just spitballing. I notice that the long FGs made early season had a short FG made earlier in the game. No idea if that matters.

And of course there's the horrifying thought that perhaps the effects of missed FGs carry over from one game to the next. I'm going to just close my eyes and pretend there's no way that happens for now.

I'd say shorten up the FG distance. Stop trying 45 and 50+ yard FGs for a while. See if it helps.

Your results certainly seem to be an outlier but I think within the range of "well it was going to happen to someone". Maybe homage will chime in, since his kicker also seems to inexplicably suck.
