Hello everyone, so i justed joined goal line blitz 2, and working on creating a character but there is tons of things to consider (in my opinion is really good!!!) but sadly my experience is equal to none, for that reason i wanted to ask you, how should i build those characters? my idea is that the DT should be an "expert" in doing sacks and the CB should be fast and not be fooled

thanks

Want a pass rushing DT?

Now pick what kind of pass rusher:

A Power or Elusive (Technique) rusher.

After that, determine what attributes you believe will help you get the best caps/cheapest atts for said rusher...

If you want a power rusher try 10 strength, if you want a technique rusher, try 10 agility.
Understand that you do not have to leave starting attributes at 5,
and their is not a full flex refund if you create an experienced player... So I suggest you play around with caps on inexperienced rookies before diving in.

true. i would probably stop speed around 40 and really pump up the other ones tbh. most of the time CBs just run away from the WR anyway so speed isnt super important

I highly recommend working on your Awr/technique and your coverage skill before investing that hard into speed.

I noticed a couple of plays where my CB just ran further down field than the WR the whole time in man coverage and the WR wound up catching a pass in stride, so I am inclined to agree with the above.

never said go speed first.... i said i would STOP speed at around 40 AND KEEP pumping your other ones. 40 speed isnt a big investment tbh.

that player does well. will be getting footwork and quickness up next. still only costs 645 to get speed up. not a big investment tbh.

I thought they changed it so you got a full refund if you didn't play any games

I don't think we ever got that suggestion through, I say why bother risking it though, just play around with the inspect element thing and use inexperienced joes so you are SURE you get your 100% flex back.

Uh... no it doesn't?

it had a 86% recall against the Gangsters... 100% against the denver broncos and 50% all against Brisbane...
The other teams you played were really bad so it doesn't really make a difference mentioning them....

But that is not the point, I just know telling a novice CB builder to raise speed to 40 is just horrific advice,
when the better WRs in the game don't even have speed that high, why does a CB (Who btw has a hard time in this sim anyway) going to waste those points in speed.

some of the better WRs ive played against have pushed to 55+.

you realize your way isnt the only way, right? i know in american you think one way, but everywhere else, we have more than one way to do things.

ps. trying new defenses and sometimes leave my poor CB to cover two guys. #thuglife

also, blitzing constantly doesnt work as well anymore. doesnt even seem to force bad throws. weird

I'm not promoting him to build my type of way.... just NOT with 40 speed.

Speedsters on the radically high end of the speed spectrum will beat themselves. However the possession/Route Runner are your true competition, those are the dots catching in double coverage on a consistent basis right now.

Now this I agree 100%, however OP seems to want a coverage focused joe.
