Air Raid 38 - 14 Texas City Stings
- Texas City ran into a buzz saw in the first half that got started by a sack/fumble by Maximillian Daniels on the first drive of the game. They didn't recover from the morale blow until halftime, and by then, Air Raid had scored 5 touchdowns on the arm of Superstar QB, Cleveland Brown. It was a much closer affair after the half as the Stings were able to regroup and put some good drives together. However, the damage had already been done, and this one was over half way through the second quarter. Next week, both teams will be favored to win.

Defcon 1 10 - 0 Sacramento Billy Goats
- Defcon's defensive line was beastly in this game. They held Sacramento to less than 250 total yards as their DE's combined for 10 sacks. Cam Jordan and Cameron Reid were particularly nasty with 7.5 sacks between the two of them. The 3 QB system ran by Defcon did just enough to put the game away. Doomsday defense? We'll find out next week as they face a Texas City team that's looking to rebound in a big way. Sacramento will face Air Raid and the distinct possibility of an 0-2 start.

Santa Fe Thunder 3 - 0 Detroit Revelers
- In the battle of the kickers, Santa Fe pulled out a win in a game that saw 6 field goal attempts, but only one go through the uprights. It was a very even game, with no-one particularly standing out, except for Detroit's kicker, Stan Dunlap, missing all 4 of his field goal attempts. Brutal. Chin up though dude, there'll be better days. Maybe next week against the Crushers? Santa Fe gets the Firefighters. Good luck with that.

Philadelphia Firefighters 45 - 0 Orlando Crushers
- Bloodbath. Absolute domination. 17 sacks. 5 passing TDs. 7 forced fumbles. You name it, and Philly brought it. Chief 1 takes the early lead in the offensive MVP voting on the strength of his passing performance. Killer offense with a vicious defense. Philadelphia looked very, very good in the first game of the season. Orlando gets a chance to rebound against Detroit next week in a battle of teams that haven't scored yet. Philly tests Santa Fe's defense.

Atlantic Tridents 9 - 3 LUElinks LUEshis
- Solid Defensive performance by Atlantic as Roman Vaughan led the way collecting a safety, half a sack, and 3 tackles with 1 assist. LUElinks stared out looking pretty good, driving into Atlantic's side of the field a few times, but only came up with 3 points as Atlantic had a critical early goalline stand. That proved decisive, as LUE LUE failed to cross midfield the rest of the game. Atlantic put together one nice drive for a TD in the second quarter on the strength of 3 double digit gains throwing, and then played field position the rest of the game, netting the safety in the second half. LUElinks looks to get back on track against Asau next week. Atlantic will face Fayetville.

Asau Pirates 7 - 7 Fayetville Tarheels
- TIE GAME! This game came down to 2 BIG plays. Holden Vazquez connects with Malcolm Bowden for 67 yards on a play where Asau blitzed 6 and got burned.

Highlight of the week:
http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/16720/161721

Not to be outdone, Anthony Angel hits Pudge Shapiro for a 40yd TD when Fayetville had a breakdown coverage in a Cover 4 switch between safety and linebacker. Wait... Linebacker? That's right. Fayetville inexplicably lined up the CB inside, and left the LB weakside to grab the deep bottom coverage in the Cover 4. Needless to say, when the safety passed off the TE, there was nobody there to pick him up. This game also featured more excellence in kicking, with 6 missed field goals. Kicks over 30 yards are nigh impossible at this stage. Both teams look to grab that first win of the season next week against divison foes Atlantic and LUElinks.

I'll try to keep doing them. It's a little easier than GLB1 since there's only 6 games to write up

Be sure to bitch about me not accurately portraying a game or picking a lame highlight too
