So if I get an offensive coordinator on my team, can he see what the actual playbooks contain? If so how? From what I can see he can just see their name and add them into the current slot.

Coords can only choose between the names and not see content in my experience.

Hmm okay, would be better if they could see the content. Not much of an offensive coordinator if all he can do is select a name from a drop down. Can do that myself really.

Well if they are my offensive coordinator, it would be helpful if they could see the content of my strategies and playbooks so they can coordinate my offense. If all they can do is just select which one we use before a game then theres not a lot to their role because that takes like 5 seconds. Unless Im misunderstanding

Anyone can build a playbook and tactics. Even folks who aren't owners or coordinators. They can then use their own playbook and tactics for the teams they're coordinating.

But no, they can't alter your playbooks or tactics. Those belong to you. Whether you choose to use yours or theirs for a game is decided on the tactics calendar.

I see how my previous answer could be misinterpreted.

now I understand this is how things currently are but it would be nice to at least be able to have the option for others, like with your players, open up your playbook/tactics to friends, teammates, owner of team, other GMs, etc... to be viewed but not changed

That would be a good feature. When I first learned GLB1 AI, it was from an experienced DC porting over his "base" defense, telling me how he liked it to be...then gave me free reign to alter it (and he stuck around, giving me pointers every couple of games). The current system makes it easy for an experienced coordinator to move their tactics around, but hard to "train" someone to take over.

yeah, I can see that as being useful. Wasn't there a way to "copy" an AI from the team in GLB1 into your own personal tactics set? Then you could tinker with it as your own. Might be nice to get something like that implemented here too, if it isn't already and I'm just missing it.

Probably pretty far down the list of things to do though. A "nice to have" item.

I proposed an easy solution to this.

Naturally it was ignored entirely.

That was also a problem with glb1. Too many hands in the cookie jar. This is pretty basic though. I kinda like that people aren't able to go through your plans.

Taking them on as a coordinator, they should be making plans themselves. Not just picking between a set of plans.

Oh I definitely understand someone wanting to keep their AI to themselves and not letting someone steal their ideas, or come in and "help". But I think a middle ground could and should exist - a way to send AI in to the team, with an option to open it to other GMs. That way "Mr. Elite Ultra Exclusive Mine Mine Mine Defense" doesn't have to worry about someone invading/stealing/screwing stuff up, but if you select the "Open" option, you can help "Mr. Dummy Who Can't Figure Out How To Not Blitz All" see what his problems are or work off of your base.
