This was discussed the moment the IM tool was developed. The current IMs put a large strain on the servers. They need further optimization and possibly a dedicated server before we start adding features like this.
I'm a BIG fan of group IMs, so this suggestion will always have my support.

Moved to Epic?
Good idea + Admin Support + Not Happening With Current Resources = Epic, imo.

I guess I should clarify...I kind of just want to get rid of epic suggestions. I has merits in theory, but it just kind of serves as a bastion for false hope.

That was exactly why I said this should get moved there - it's a place for ideas that people like, but that you don't want 6000000 threads on.

maybe you should put some of the good suggestions there that are also feasible to make happen
