Ive been playing this game since season one with an occasional break here and there. But one thing Ive noticed about this game that has never changed is the potential of the offense vs the defense. Just seems like the ceiling of the offensive players greatly outweighs the ceiling of the defensive players.

You look around some leagues and you have guys throwing and rushing for 30-40+ TDs yet the entire league only combines for 20 INTs. Does anyone else think the defensive players should be enhanced?

No. Defensive players already get a proportionate percentage of hurries and sacks, while the problem with turnovers is that Bort never fixed the cascade effect I pointed out in May 2009 where one increases the likelihood of another and thus sometimes leads to those insane 8+ turnover games. Aside from fixing that, the only turnover change I wouldn't have minded is an adjustment to make fumbles a little less dependent on momentum and more dependent upon tackling skill. Right now you get a disproportionately high number of special teams fumbles but they're hard to come by in base defense.

WL Passing Leader has 18 TD's.
WL Team Leading rushing TD's is 35.
WL Team Leading Interceptions is 23.

Sounds legit.

I would try to come up with some clever way of contorting your username but "Pwned" is pretty appropriate. Would be like drawing a mustache on a pic of a guy that already has a mustache.

Hard to intercept the ball when half the offense you face is the Big I sweep or GL sweep.

Rush Hour skews that. Rushing and passing are pretty balanced in terms of yardage and scoring in the WL aside from Rush Hour, which is fine but at odds with modern football and its heavy slant towards passing. Right now there isn't quite enough reward in passing to balance the elevated risk. If Bort still cared about GLB1, I'd suggest dialing PDs back about 20%.

My approach would be to create custom spots for CBs in the Formations. With the ability to choose the CB that will be facing the blocking TE/FB, the Big I & GL sweeps might be a bit less rewarding, but not so much that weak teams are made strong from a game change.

A 20% reduction in PD seems a bit extreme, of course that probably doesn't actually add 20% to the completion percentage, but it would add a chunk. If I was going to boost the Passing game, I'd just upgrade the power of the Pocket Presence SA. I've seen games where the QB had a high completion percentage, but because the D pressure caused him to get rid of it early, the yards per catch dropped from around 5 to 3, big difference when trying to sustain drives.

if you want to help the passing game, boost the power/break tackle WR's so they can actually provide some sort of counter to all the low str low tackle high catching CB's out there. This would provide a little bit of a swing in the risk/reward for INT CB's, right now there is minimal risk in creating INT builds.

Int CBs are easy to counter.. Play selection and if your QB has the strength, more lofty.

But, not discounting your idea. Wasn't it decided the reason the WR don't break the tackles though was because the power HB VAs don't work outside or down field?
