I have players on cpu team.....are they stuck there until the season ends....so i cant respec, retire or sign with a different team for season 2?
....and the owner of one of my players teams , jumped ship....also stuck ?
I know in GLB1, if an owner skipped or sold the team, you had the option of getting off that team. Not here?

You should be able to sign with another team from a CPU team roster anytime. Other than playoff teams can't add you right now.

Looking at your players - 2 are on CPU teams (Ginger and Willie). They can sign with a human team at any time, retire at any time. 2 are on human teams with inactive owners (Paintrain and Nut). They are stuck until the season ends in a few days, at which point you will be able to retire them or sign with someone else. This is a change from GLB1 (where CPU took over teams with inactive owners, letting you go elsewhere). Those teams probably had the "automatically send out contracts" option checked, which lets them send out contracts like a CPU teams, but the contracts are binding like human teams.

In either case, you'll be free for season 2, and can get them to somewhere better.

Inactive teams are treated exactly like CPU teams.

Check your code, then.

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/25011 is on a human team with an innactive owner, last action Jan 2. He can not retire at this time - "Sorry, but you cannot retire a player while he is under contract with a human controlled team. You must get your manager to release you or wait for your contract to expire." He is also currently unable to put up a marketplace ad.
However, if someone were to send him a contract, he could sign in - I had done this with a different one of my players on an innactive team a minute ago, sent him a contract from the team I GM, and forgot to uncheck "auto accept"

Meanwhilst, http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/player/27721 is on a CPU team and may retire right now, or place a marketplace ad.
