Useful and Simple stuff like this should have been ported enmasse from GLB1, really baffled why its not right there on the league page.

Exactly.

Seems like quite a few things an agent should know is non existent.

Probably partly because they wouldn't let us play playoffs in the Test server seasons. We asked for playoffs, but they said we didn't need to test them. They didn't have the final structure ready for the test server (we didn't play divs and had 10 team leagues), so I'm just happy that the games are being scheduled at this point.

Ah, that's a major part of the game. The lack of info is really bad.

I've been a big supporter of the staff here when the shit has hit the fan, and against whiners and such. There's no way to defend this. As a paying customer, it's really frustrating.

Go to which ever league you wish to look at then change the week to week 15. It will show the two match ups and obviously whoever wins each match up faces each other. Not really a need for a bracket when there are only 2 playoff matches

Hadnt realized how limited the playoffs were.

Not a fan of this league structure or system.

Guess its easier to balance and contract, but would four Divs of four with two wildcards and a four game play off have sucked so much?

As for the why of the shortage, I am kinda hoping they just felt the need to hurry. To intentionally ditch this stuff makes no sense. Maybe it will be added in as they go along.

I really like the nfl style system
I think being a top seed should net you something like a bye
And 2 wildcards might be too many for 12 teams 3 divs but for 16 team 6 going makes sense

Not really sure what another division adds to the concept other than trying to constantly make it as similar to the NFL as possible? You talk about how limiting it is while making the solution of adding 4 more teams to the mix and adding just one playoff spot? What does that really add the structure other than more days in a season and less SP per game?

Kinda how i feel. It is nice to see and all but not really a necessary component. However the nice part about GLB1 in that way is that people see their playoff matchups weekly and where they stand in the playoff race.

Yeah, I was originally going to add one and then I started on it and realized it was kinda pointless since it's only 2 rounds and it basically shows it on the game list already.

I think the problem with 4 divisions is that with a 4 game playoff you've now made the playoffs 12 days long...more than double the 6 days it currently is.

12 days for teams who have been eliminated is a little on the long side isn't it?

12 days + 3-4 days of contract renegotiation time and suddenly 75% (or a little less) of the games players are saying "See you in two weeks!" - and many probably never come back. Not good.

I think having a game ever 3 days kind of dictated that the playoffs had to be smaller pools of teams

well if you had 4 games playoff would probally need a game each day to not drag it out too much

That's why I feel like there wasn't much wrong with the GLB1 system. 16 game seasons, playoffs, and tourneys for age groups. Seems fine to me.

Actually this league format seemed really good to me. I can see where maybe in the less competitive leagues the regular season wasn't as exciting, but adding more teams to the playoffs wouldn't help that, it would just make the top teams even less interested in the regular season (and the first 1-2 rounds of the playoffs).

In a competitive league, the regular season was wonderful, the format was good and develops rivalries, and the playoffs feel like they're to the point. Yeah some good teams missed the playoffs, but it's only two game weeks and then next season starts up, ready to retool a bit (end of season level up rewards help here) and compete again.
