1. #4 Sunday Funday vs #1 Doinitin Djibouti - http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/156/36

The match-up we have all been waiting for and by all mostly just Homage and myself. These 2 teams have been in the top 5 the majority of the season and besides scrims have not got lucky enough to draw one another in the Ladder match-ups. These teams have scrimmed 14 times with DD winning 8 and there being 1 tie. Sunday fields the best offense in GLB2 while DD features the best defense. SF will face a tough decision, there biggest test in their League match-ups is Zorp! who runs an offense very similar to what DD runs. Will they adjust their defense and show Zorp! there hand or will they get abused up the middle once again?

Prediction: DD wins 17-14

2. #10 Alpine vs #2 Maine Snails - http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/41/34

I know very little about Alpine as this is their first time being in the top 10 to my knowledge. On paper, the Snails own the slightly better defense and offense and have the best win of the 2 to date this season. Both teams favor the pass and protect their QB decently well. This should be a pretty even match.

Prediction: Maine wins 10-7

3. #5 Rocky Mountain Reapers vs #3 Engage with Zorp! - http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/37/205

This should be an interesting game with Zorp! fielding the more balanced offense vs a pretty good Reaper defense. On the other side of the ball, Zorp! will have to hope to slow down the Reaper passing attack which has racked up over 5400 yards alone in league play. The Reapers will need to concentrate to stop Zorps! highly effective Single Back rushes up the middle and even if they do so they may struggle to stop the short comeback routes that are nearly impossible to stop at this stage. In the end, I feel like Balance wins over a Pass or Run heavy team.

Prediction: Zorp! pulls away late 24-7

4. #14 TT's Wolfpack of One vs #6 Queen City Brewmasters - http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/87/201

A classic grind it out/defensive team vs a Pro Style offensive team. For the Wolfpack there defensive gameplan should be easy, stop the run...if they can. The Brewmasters don't hide what they are going to do, they are going to run the ball until you stop them. The problem for them though is that the Wolfpack have some very hard hitting safeties and if they can get a Force Fumble early in the game they should get the momentum on their side and gradually pull away.

Prediction: Wolfpack wins 17-3

5. #8 Seattle Seahawks vs #7 Annapolis Freedom - http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/107/198

A rematch from earlier this season in which the Seahawks kicked an OT FG to win 6-3. Both teams have scored and allowed nearly identical points this season. There isn't a lot that seperates these teams talent wise so this should come down to gameplanning.

Prediction: Seahawks in a close one 10-7

6. #15 OG GLB vs #9 Portland Ronin - http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/compare_teams/26/75

Portland will need to hope to slow down the OG passing attack which has put up over 5500 yards alone in League play. On the other hand, they have only rush the ball for a total of 291 yards. Portland fields the most balanced offense in GLB2 (1900 yards passing, 1898 yards rushing) so defensive gameplanning for OG will be slightly more difficult.

Prediction: Portland wins 17-14

This is probably the best week yet in terms of match-ups. I don't think we have had 2 Top 5 head to head games like this yet. Should be pretty entertaining.

I was right about three Wolf teams being in the top ten match-up this week.

Romo and I saw lots of each other on the test server, I guess this is a test to see which of us has learned the most since going live.
