what determines that a QB hold anyone back to block? I have had for my FB and HB to stay in to block extra blitzers all season but I cant for the life of remember actually seeing them held in to block. if anything when its a heavy blitz my QB attempts to throw it to them quickly.

is this a feature thats not working or is the QB not yet at a point to able to have them stay in and block?

We've been debating this for like half the season in suggestions
It's a problem that will go away when qb evasive gets high enough
Pocket evasive may end up getting renamed pocket awareness
And it will only ever work when there are more rushers than blockers
So 6+ rushers

Has anyone confirmed this is true? (re-roll a QB and put some points in pocket evasive?)

Going off my spreadsheet ( http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/forum/thread/5143965 ) pocket evasive has some awareness impact, but it's more of an agility thing - I doubt it works like Flynn says. Pocket evasive would seem to be "stepping up against the pass rush" or "rolling out and scrambling when the DE loses contain", I can't see how it's related to this issue.

Corndog brought up Pocket Evasiveness in that thread. But to the OP it has been confirmed to work. Thus far only against blitz's of 6+ and there are few of those which is why you likely haven't seen it work yet. Possibly will be a fix of some sort down the line after some proposed things in that thread flynn made.

thanks bhall.

Though I don't often comment - I'm grateful to you for all of your forum posts and your willingness to share what you know.

Thank you.

They need to make the description more clear if it is in fact affected by pocket evasion

6+ seems a little high. I would think 5 to start would be the minimum or anyone more than the down lineman possibly

It is currently 6+ because it is about having more defenders blitzing than blockers. You have 5 olinemen. What that fails to take into account however is overloads.

Now that you guys mention it, I don't remember my backs ever staying in to block.

Actually, I added code to account for overloads.

Not sure if Bort has added that yet.

Actually thinking about it though people should be seeing more audibles though. The most spammed blitz's of this whole season use 4 downlinemen and 2 backers blitzing.

Not that holding in my HB would likely help my blitz protection as it is more the QB's fault than the blocking.

I saw an audible today in a scrim vs a 6-man blitz - 4-4 Zero Edge Blitz vs Singleback Big. Don't know the QB build though
