player salary is tied to team salary caps and player chemistry.
you don't "spend" the dollar value.

Something that should have been implemented with this game being more player oriented...

No, it shouldn't have been. It's a game balance mechanism. If you want to pretend it does something for your player, open up MS paint and draw a house for him after each paycheck.
If you want to add more for players, then there may be some way to do it without screwing up game balance. But just leave the salary alone, it has a purpose now and overloading that purpose is a good way to ruin a game mechanism.

Just a simple system that allows player cash to be used on simple items that give a +1 or +2 to a specific attribute wouldn't cause any issues...especially with the absence of equipment.

The people clamoring for something to "spend money on" wouldn't be happy with buying 1 item over the course of the player's career, so +1 or +2 wouldn't make anyone happy. And even the SP value of going from 98 to 100 is too much to be giving away without giving serious thought to the game balance. TT's already said as a tester he would have preferred that players get even LESS SP, to help force more decisions at what to be good at, for example.
Luckily, I don't have to convince you, because it's pretty obvious there's no way Bort's doing anything like this to the game, but that's why he's not - it would be bad for the game, whether you agree or not.

Mhhh. Yeah, the Chemistry Reset Purpose is legit, but once players stay at same Team for many seasons it will only be for the Cap.
Or does it also effect the Max Chemistry a Player will be able to get?

I have a groundbreaking idea. Let's allow players to buy firearms and large quantities of cocaine, and of course prostitutes. The players DEMAND a realistic sim. Let's get to work, boys.
