Forum > Suggestions > Give created player a reward for having an achievement. My suggestion is a +1 CAP boost for said category.

I think when a Player achieves something during game(s), he should be rewarded for a +1 CAP boost in said category.

We know there are CAP boosts that give you a +5 in whatever category you choose.

But I think it would be cool like if you have a player get "Five in the Air" achievement (have a player record 5 receptions in a game)...

to maybe get a +1 cap boost in the "Receiving Hands" category.
So if your possible MAX is currently a 63, it would be raised to a 64 from that achievement.
Or maybe it goes in the "Receiving Grip" category? Whatever the proper category should be.

We need a list of all achievements for all positions, to break all this down specifically.

I also think the Achievements should go on the Players page, rather than our Home page. (since a specific player of the users accomplished this) Or at least added to the Players page as well.

Thank you.

I wish that would work but I´m afraid that anything that could give one player an advantage over another would be thoroughly abused...

I like this idea. The rewards would just have to balanced so to not give a huge advantage to anyone trying to abuse it. A +1 cap boost would have to be for an achievement that is hard to achieve. Since we don't know what all of the achievements are its impossible to say what achievements should get that.

Lets take the QB achievements for example.

Maybe "break the ice" or other similar easy achievements could give you 5sp or something small like that. The player gets something but its not anything that would make them a far better player if its abused.

Agreed...Seems like an easy way for someone to just buy their own team and make a QB and WR on a full CPU team and just pass 100% of the time.

Yup would unfortunately lead to abuse. Kinda like GLB1 MVP equipment.

Are you suggesting that a player is rewarding for unlocking an achievement or each time a player hits an achievement? I could see this as helping out a new user since their first player would get bonuses that could help overcome any mistakes they made in their first build. Of course, that could also lead to multis who are created just to get players that can reach achievements. Most likely would be abused.

I agree that something like this would be abused, but it would be nice if there was something that mixed the builds up a little bit. As it is now, the potential of the build is set in stone at creation. One of the cool things about the glb1 build style are things like breakthroughs and the EQ store that make it so builds don't turn out exactly like the vpb said they would.

It pretty much completely is. Maxes aren't moving outside of 3 +5s, total SP isn't changing, everybody gets the exact same number of abilities. You can crank out identical dot after identical dot.

This is because you did not experiment enough with dotbuilding,

Even after picking the exact same traits, you can have a HUGE difference in your maxes and mins, just from height/weight/creationSPs.

No one intelligent will be making any sort of "cookie cutter", it is all what works with your team of joes and what your OC/DC can use effectively.

So a player that is good enough to get a bonus will get better? No thanks.
