I just noticed, in GLB replays, the NT and DT are backwards. The NT is supposed to be the one lined up between the G and C, not the other way around. This wouldn't be a big deal but some people, including myself, run a hybrid defense where the NT plays both 3-4 NT and 4-3 NT, but if you put your 3-4 NT in the NT slot, he gets lined up as a 3 technique in 4 man fronts.

Ya, Bort took the definitions from Madden I think, which got them wrong. The plays in GLB pre-DPC were like this, too.

They are actually correct, they were backwards in GLB.

MM, don't think so?

http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/3300/422520 as an example

The listed NT is lined up 2-gapping the RG

THe listed DT is 1-gapping the A gap.

Typically, the NT would be the one on the A gap. Pretty sure GLB1 did it the same way originally.

Maybe that's a strongside shift in the d-line for that play?

Oh yeah, it looks like it is correct on the depth chart page but actually backwards in game.

There is no NT in a 4-3.

Says who? If you a guy puts his hand on the ground and lines up on the LOS across from the center, he is a nose tackle. The number of lineman do not matter.
