750 EXP per league/ladder game is too convoluted. Just make it 500 SP per day at rollover. 48 day season = 24000 SP. Adjust milestone rewards accordingly to keep same total SP for the season. In the current game based skill point gain system, assuming we were intended to get ladder game experience during the playoffs, that works out to 22,500sp (14 league, 16 ladder) for all games played in a season, which combined with tier rewards = 36000 SP. The 1500 point difference between 24000 and 22500 is easily balanced by shaving 500 off the first, third, and 4th 2500 point tier rewards.

Using daily 500sp, you get 24000 + 3 x 2000 tier rewards + 6000 Sophomore reward = 36000 SP for the first season.

I'd think this would be a whole lot easier to manage than basing it on playing games and trying to balance "experienced" players created mid-season around that.

Meaning that free agents will either get screwed or you can build a player, not play him, and then decide later if you want to replace instead of respec?

Easy. Tie daily experience to whether player is free agent or not. Folks that want to store partially completed builds as free agents can do so then just as they can now.

Assuming I'm understanding that player age is dictated by playing in games now, not on days of existence.

the way it is now, if you let your contract run out and you are NOT on a team, then you dont age. i could technically make a player and let him play for one season and then not log in for 2 months and when i come back, my player will still be the same age. players dont "waste" their careers, if the agent doesnt log in, with this current setup
