In the vein of the WR Discussion thread...

I'm making a Scat back.
1. Anyone have any ideas on how to prevent the Scat HB from immediately falling over after making a catch (when no defenders are immediately nearby)? Is it Balance? Receiving Hands, Rec Awareness?

2. Fumbling the ball when there are NO defenders around (ex on a handoff/pitch). The "Carrying Grip" description says "when being tackled". What about when NOT being tackled? Which skill(s) would that be? Do the Receiving abilities come into play on pitches/handoffs? Rec Hands? Rec Consistency? Again, the Rec Grip description clearly says "when being tackled"

Thanks!

For #1, I read somewhere that it is Balance, and that akes sense.

#2 means your Qb's leadership levels suck.

Hmm thanks...

Would be nice to know when you DO vs DON'T have control over something like a fumble.

When the Center/QB exchange is fumbled, the description is nice but it doesn't specify whose fault it is (EDIT: NEVER MIND.. I see "botched the handoff" occassionally!). Then again, in real-life situations it isn't always clear either.

However, with something like this, it would be really helpful to know who is at fault via the play description: http://glb2.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay/2214/117452 - currently, description makes it sound like it is entirely the HB's fault. Is it? Who knows!

1.- Balance. Receiving Hands should help too, imo.

2.- QB needs more Leadership. Also you should just wait until the team has build chemistry. Currently teams are like 6/100 so that's a big factor too.

Nope pretty much just balance for that.

So how much is balance a factor in the success of a power back. Does a Power back need a good amount of balance to be successful?

Also my power back has only broken 1 tackle that I have seen so far...what other factors than power running attribute effect breaking tackles

Carrying Awareness, Toughness, Intimidation, Heart, Power Running, Footwork. I am unsure how much Balance plays into the equation of broken tackles as it doesn't seem to effect any of the abilities for broken tackles nor does it get bonus's from any of them that I have seen. But I would like to think it plays a pretty good part.

For #2 make sure your RBs are on high contracts too. Get their chem up asap.

What starting attribute points do you think would be most effective for a power back? I initially stuck 10 into strength not knowing you could lower the other attributes on creation. However, I don't want gimp him too much by lowering the other attributes.

Balance is HUGE for a power back. He usually isn't elusive so he is constantly taking hits and needs to keep his balance to break tackles. I focus on power running, balance, carry awar (it helps trigger SA and helps to find running lanes) and toughness (helps w/ loss of stamina and moral).

I like balance at 70+ for an endgame powerback fwiw.

Are you planning to use boosters to get to 70+? It's always a struggle between that and intimidation for me.
