On my superstar team I was doing alright with 3WRs, I just took most of the 3-5 WR plays out of the playbook and subbed in a HB/FB/TE when needed for WRs 4-5.
I wasn't a passing team, and WRs were expensive.
You can craft your own solution and be creative within the limits.
Frankly, Rostercrafting is going to be THE game for owners. Then, coordinators will have to craft a playbook and tactics to take advantage of what personnel are available. There'll be whole formations on offense that you pretty much have to toss in the trash based on your roster. The Salary hardcap and 43 man rosters are going to be A LOT of fun for seeing different teams with different playstyles emerge. Smaller, superstar heavy rosters. Bigger, well conditioned rosters. Passing focused teams. Rushing focused teams. 3-4 teams, 4-3 teams, maybe even base nickel teams.
