This ranking is loosely based on fact and largely based on opinion. Thanks for reading. Please post and comment!
1. Fighting Gamecocks (1) - They had no trouble in week 8 against Stone Mountain. They still face All Pro and Whodey before the season is over, but I don't expect them to lose any games outside of potentially those two (if they lose any at all).
2. Whodey's Experiment (2) - Whodey scored a TD with 35 seconds left in the game to take the victory. Similar to last year's game, I think this could be replayed 10 times ending in an equal split. Both teams are very good, but on this day WE was a little bit better.
3. TazVikes Nordica (3) - The TazVikes held Black Veil to under 200 yards on their way to a dominant victory. The TazVikes have a bit of a lull in their schedule with their next 5 opponents possessing a record of 0.500 or worse.
4. Chicago 85' Bears (5) - I will readily admit that the Bears may not deserve their 4th overall ranking. They have beat only 1 team that currently possesses a winning record and face a very end-loaded schedule. Frankly, the Bears could have 10 wins before we see them hit the meat of their schedule.
5. All Pro Falcons (6) - To be honest, despite the loss the Falcons improved in my eyes this week. After their devastating loss in week 3, A.I. showed his true form and played a great game against a very good WE squad. All Pro will, at most, lose one more game this year.
6. Royal Cocks (4) - What?!.... Your going to beat SBWL, but take a loss to GTS? Such is the life of big boy dotball. This Royal team, similar to last year, faced a weak early schedule. However they won two nice games in a row against the Midgets and SBWL before dropping their week 8 match-up. I'm really unsure of how good this squad can be, but I expect a high seed in the West.
7. Brethern Krewe Redbeards (7) - The Redbeards have finally arrived at the meat of their schedule with 6 of their remaining 8 games bringing in teams that currently possess winning records. We will see if this team is legit over the next few weeks.
8. Short Bus Window Lickers (8) - Nice bounce back win in week 8 against the Chaos. SBWL has had some unusual stumbles in S37, but their is still a lot of dotball left to be played. However, they get no break with their next 3 games against teams with winning records.
9. Gold Test Squad (10) - Had to move up GTS after their big victory over Royal. The game was very close, but GTS had enough gas to end up with the victory. A victory in week 9 over SBWL would really help establish GTS as a top contender this season.
10. Minnesota Vikings (9) - On one hand, the Vikings have not had a single victory over a team with a winning record to this point in S37. On the other hand, the Vikings have played two great teams (WE and All Pro) and have lost by a combined 17 total points. I'm not really sure how good this team can be... Guess we will wait and see.
