#1 you stayed on throwing too long. as a result, your strength is too low, as well as your agility and speed. You probably have time to get Confidence to a playable level, but it's probably not going to matter much.
#2 your AEQ is off. QBs need Pass Quality % gear--somewhere between 2 and 3 pieces of it--21% at a minimum.

Pocket passer is the 1st mistake. Like above didn't need to go that high with the throwing. Vision doesn't have to be that high end build even, but close. Should have 100 natural strength and about 75ish confidence. Agility needs to be about 70 and speed 40+
My QB for reference. http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=2528616 this one is far from great, should have more SAs, agility, and speed. But it is a 4 AE build, and I could have gone with less vision imo.

I disagree with Pocket Passer being a mistake. A good builder can make awesome PP's and I've made several decent ones (I'm not as good a builder as the elite of GLB but good enough to make a good PP. ) Anyways, TJ's right on the money. You can't chase the throwing for so long that it kills your complimentary skills. And Pass Quality AEQ is a must.

no AEQ
somewhat low confidence... strength is fine as you are still investing in it.
but your real issue is no% aeq.
and anyone who says PP is a terrible idea, doesn't understand how to build, nor do they understand how MVP/Endorsement equipment work for QB's.
PP's get the best pieces.

1st mistake as always is probably the team. If a team doesnt play to the strengths of its roster you usually suck. You really have to ge that playbook right.

Well I'd rather have strength as a major than confidence, and as far as mvp equips go, you have to get it. My QB had a chance at it the last 5 seasons and won it when he hit decline.
But you'd be right about not knowing how to build, I am quite terrible.

People overrate strength a bit on QBs, IMO. Plus, the favored SAs on a pocket passer are better.

No such thing. The lack of pass quality AEQ is the only thing wrong with the build.
edit:
Well, actually speed & agility do need to be higher. Speed needs to be ~40 just to allow for proper dropbacks and agility should be 60+. But I'm fine with the confidence and strength being where they are.

I know it's a very bad idea to argue with JD, but...
there is if you don't know how to finish the build. Yes 180+ total Passing is very doable, but it takes practice to get the rest of the build where it has to be. For a new agent, It's a lot easier to shoot for 160+ total passing until you get the hang of rounding the build.
Once you can get to where you're finishing agility and speed with enough SPs left over for your SAs, then go back and try to get more and more throwing. It isn't hard to crack that 1700 PV/EL barrier.

My contention is precisely that it doesn't require much practice or thought because there's a lot of margin for error in confidence and strength. Those attributes help passing, but not nearly as much as throwing & vision. So if you take care of throwing & vision, really the only other things you have to worry about are having the minimum speed not to have problems with your dropback and then having enough pass quality AEQ.

I have no reason to doubt what you're saying, except I've never seen a build that does that.

Pre-archetype WL QBs rarely had strength above 85 and tests have since shown that confidence has very little effect on passing.

Yeah. I back this up. First QB's I built I pushed confidence and strength a lot. Then I started weeding myself off of that and haven't noticed a discernible difference in their play... even with confidence as low as 45 (chasing the OTK). As for strength, I've always felt some folks just went too crazy with the cheez whiz there. Anything between 70-100 works fine with not much difference in the stats. I tend to like 80-90 myself.
