***Please do not vote in this thread***
Let the discussions begin! I figure to clean up the voting thread we can use this thread to discuss and "plug" players for the MVP awards at the end of the season...that and it will clean up the MVP voting thread as well later in the season. I plan on opening the voting thread during week 12 and keep the voting booths open until the final whistle of the last week in the regular season. So...let the fun begin.

Here's a tough one... how to judge the best CB?

You could go INTs, I suppose, but a lot of the good corners never even get thrown at.

Rather than going through the never-ending debate (again) on how to determine what should be voted on at each position...why not just discuss the player(s) you feel deserve to be MVPs and why.

Yeah i opened the shutdown corner Can and it wasnt a good topic. It seems that right now the best and most streamlined way to judge a good corner is by who makes plays. When i first brought it up my corner only had 1 pic, but had only been thrown on 11 times in 7 games. The very next game they threw his way some and he picked 2 off. So the point is, hope your corner gets oppurtunities, and hope he's good enough to take advantage of what he gets. But a CB would need astronomical numbers for MVP, and thats coming from a CB owner.

As of now i would say Bob Avellini from Samoa is a shoe-in. Most yards passing, 28 touchdowns(ten more than second place) and only 5 INT's and his team is in first.

At least two members of the Samoa defense, DE Mister Moose in particular, can make a case for the award, especially after Bob's mediocre game last week. After 9 games, he leads the league with 20 sacks and 41 hurries (2nd place is 13 and 28, respectively), is tied for 2nd with 2 FFum, and has 4 passes defensed and 2 fumbles recovered. And by the way, he has one INT...for a TD. Moose has yet to miss a tackle.

Fun fact: Mister Moose is on pace to break the NFL single-season sack record tonight, in the 10th game of the season.

Add this to the fact that he is a major contributor to the best defense in the league, and I think it makes him a neck-and-neck candidate with Bob (who is also super-awesome <3). Other dark horse defensive guys on our squad are Hey QB! You Throw Like a Girl and Flesh Gordon, plus any of our CBs could get hot and pick off a bunch of throws.

<50% completions. So there. Go enjoy having a 15-TD lead over the nearest competitor.

Thanks CableJelly! Its good to see you dropping in from time to time. Do you have perpetual motion on your side or something?! Once the sharks start rolling, there's no stopping them. Best of luck to you these last 6 games. I would love to see you guys make the pro league!

What can I say about Tally... guy has a cannon on his leg or something!
I didn't want to do any self plugging, but since Cable threw me into the mix, I guess I'll do Tally's stats for you and update them each game.

Regualar season:

48/51 FGs
05/06 from 00-19
11/12 from 20-29
16/16 from 30-39
09/10 from 40-49
07/07 from 50+ (Longest: 53.5 yrds)

86/91 PATs
25 Touchbacks including an 81 yard kickoff out of the endzone!
3 Tackles

**I'll just update this single post with TallyDawg's stats after each game rather than re-posting to the thread**
