Week 2: 7-1
Week 3: 6-2
Week 4: 7-1
Week 5: 6-2
Week 6: 7-1
Week 7: 7-1
Week 8: 7-1
Week 9: 8-0 (!!!)
Season: 55-9

Finally got it. I appreciate everyone's cooperation. Now those of you who go against my wishes in my 7-1 weeks don't have to tear yourselves up over it, anymore. I am sure that is a load off you rhsoulders to say the least! On with it all!

Game of the Week
Basin City Blues at Transylvania Bloodsuckers
Well, this one is a game with as much at stake as they come. The Bloodsuckers find themselves entering game 3 of their 4-game gauntlet of conference powers. They kicked it off with good wins over Dublin and Grim. BCB hasn't lost since week 2 and is definitely not planning to lose this week just because they are the underdog. I expect this one to be more of a matter of which defense performs the best than which offense performs the best. Both can score. That's obvious. But who can defend better? That's the kicker. BCB has given up 1 TD in the last 6 games whereas the Suckers have given up a few more against tougher competition. This one could be epic. My heart tells me to pick BCB for the upset... But I'm much more logical than emotional. So instead I am going to go with my brain on this one. I expect the Transylvanian defense to backpack the offense to another victory in this one.
---------------------------------------------

Vatra Dornei Wraiths at Amsterdam Arctic Blasts
This is another game where I am giving Amsterdam's pure power more credit than their tactical ability. I think even with a bad gameplan they will be too much for the Wraiths. And with that being said... and I really don't many any direct offense by this, but has Amsterdam considered bringing in some new Coaching staff to help out with the gameplanning? You guys are so much better than the record shows, and I would love to see you guys performing up to potential.

Crimson and Cream Sooner Machine at Wrexham Maelor Brionnfhionn
CCSM has made more leaps into the righ tdirection with their roster. But I am afraid it's too little too late for this season, it seems. But it's good they have a solid roster to work with for next year. That's not to say they are forfeiting all of their games form this point onward. I am simply saying the playoff picture looks dim at this point. And as the realist I am... I am just being straighforward. So keep it up CCSM; you're heading where you need to be. Just don't give up on it. As for Wrexham... they're getting to crunch time. An unfavorable OoC draw for them is making every game a must-win for their postseason hopes. This game isn't only a must win. It's a will-win.

South Yorkshire Stars at Ithaca Space Munkees
Sorry. Not going to say anything about this. Don't want to seem like I am bragging. I jsut think it will be a SoYo victory.

Oklahoma (U.S.A.) Outlaws at St. Louis Storm
Well, jerry applewhite is lookign at anothe rpotential game to run wild with. Look for StL to go back to what is proving to be their bread and butter for this one. Outlaws are better than most 2-win teams, but I don't look to see that number going up this week.

Warsaw Knuckleheads at London Brawling Tommies
When an offense liek Warsaw's meets a 1-win team, you really can't rationally pick an upset. So I'm not going to. I look for the Knuckleheads to win this one pretty soundly.

Dublin Drunken Monkeys at Belfast Mafia
In a Border battle of the ages, we've got a close close close second for GotW. Both teams are great, and both teams are in solid contention for the home playoff picture. Both teams have proven to have good gameplanning ability and have won some big ones. The deciding factor in this one is going to be the Belfast Defense. If they can play like they have recently... then i look for them to keep the trophy from this close-scoring game in the Northern Ireland soil.

Grim Reapers at Kilkenny Cannibals
Grim is a strong power in the conference, and Kilkenny is trying to make a case for themselves. When you have a struggling offense playing against a team like Grim, there's just really no difficulty to making a prediction. Nothing but respect for Kilkenny. It's a beautiful place, and I loved my stay there... but the good ol' boys from Louisiana are taking this one.
-----------------------------------------
And there ya have it! Actually on time this week! Now dicuss and be merry! 8-0? Back-to-back? Impossible!!! Or is it? Bum bum bummmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Kilkenny? Not a problem.... it's what we do. But which one of the Cannibals is Kenny? Oh nevermind.... we'll just kill everyone while we're there to make sure we get him.

Death comes to Kilkenny this week.

I look for Ithaca to come up with an Upset!
They're just cruising under the Radar...
Come Gametime, they'll Strike!

Could you imagine if that really happened? I would lose all faith in math.

Close.... the biggest upset in USA-A5 history... a 2-6 team takes out an 8-0 team: http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=46418

Look at the matchup though. Those 2 teams were faily even so that's not even a real upset IMO.

Ahh yes... the Growlers from the other conference. Is the West as big of a dog fight as the East?
