Minnesota Mafia(6-3-0) @ Somalia Wasps(9-0-0)
Minnesota had started this season well but could not follow up in a shocking 27-31 loss to the lowly Uganda SilverBacks. Some may say it is a matter of Uganda playing well lately, but it is the fact that Minnesota has greatly dropped in quality since the beginning of the season. Apart from a level 23 runningback and level 20 center, the Mafia don't look to stand up tall enough to defeat Somalia. The Wasps are coming off a blowout 46-3 win over the Atlantic Blue Jays, and they clearly have all of the momentum of the Lion Conference right now. They are clearly stronger than the Mafia and are ready to put a dagger in Minnesota's hearts. The lowest level starter for Somalia is approximately 7 levels higher than Minnesota's lowest. A few strong players aren't enough to beat an all-around strong roster like that of Somalia. There may have been some shocking upsets last games, like that of the Angola Dream destroying the Sahara ShadowChasers 43-0, I do not expect this to be one of them. The only advantage the Mafia seem to have is the KRS unit, with one of the best kick returners in ryan meis. Look for Somalia to get a lot of pancakes, and to get on the scoreboard a lot in a what I expect to be a blowout win for the top team in the African AAA#1 Lion Conference. The Wasps have just got by some very strong teams, such as the Ethiopian Starvin' Marvins, but this shouldn't be a close game. At all. The Somalia Wasps are definitely going to show their home fans what they all came to see.
56-0 Somalia
Matchup of the week
Phoenix Heat(7-2-0) @ Angola Dream(6-3-0)
Angola has already lost by a small amount to some of the stronger teams in the conference, and they're looking for a win in this one. Angola greatly upset the Sahara ShadowChasers, in a game in which I expected Sahara to win, so now I know what Angola is like. They are ready to beat the Phoenix Heat. But, the Phoenix Heat are ready to beat them. The Phoenix Heat are an overall stronger team. They are team which I know are going to win. With this win they will only need one more to clinch a playoff spot. I'm not underestimating Angola though. They may have a lot lower levels than Phoenix, but they only lost by 4 points to 1st place Somalia Wasps, and they only lost by a TD to second place Kalahari Night Riders. A close game this may be, but there is always a winner.
38-35 Phoenix
Madagascar Outlaws(2-7-0) @ Kalahari Night Riders(8-1-0)
The Madagascar Outlaws greatly upset favorite Egypt Empire in yesterday's 16-14 shocker. Madagascar slipped by a similar team, but they did do remarkably well on offense. While Egypt only managed two TDs Madagascar managed one but their offense continuously drove down the field into FG range 3 times to hand Madagascar the win. Madagascar played a team whose only win was by one point, however. The Kalahari Night Riders proudly hold the 2nd place spot, with their only loss against the Zimbabwe Bush Squirrel Rebellion. They have yet to play the top team, the Somalia Wasps. That should be a good one. In this game, look for Kalahari QB Drew Seabass to blow Madagascar to the bottom of the sea(no pun intended). Not to mention RB Willie Mae Ford Smith. Heck, he'll drive past the Madagascar D as if he was driving a Ford. There should be absolutely no room for surprises in this game, and the Kalahari Night Riders should have no trouble clinching a playoff spot against 13th place Madagascar.
45-0 Kalahari
Eritrea Evarcha culicivora(0-9-0) @ Zimbabwe Bush Squirrel Rebellion(7-2-0)
All I can say to this matchup is LOL. The only hard part about making this prediction is what is the score going to be? 36-0 or 98-0? I mean no offense to EEC, but Zimbabwe is just waaaay to good of a team for them. The Squirrels are coming off a tough loss to the Ethiopian Starvin' Marvins, and they are ready to give the hard loss to EEC. With this win they'll only need one or two more wins to guarantee a playoff spot. If Eritrea Evarcha Culicivora wins this, they deserve a huge pat on the back. I'm almost guaranteeing myself that they won't be getting any pats on the back anytime soon.
65-0 Zimbabwe
Sahara ShadowChasers(4-5-0) @ Ethiopian Starvin' Marvins(6-3-0)
Sahara is coming off a huge upset against the Angola Dream. Angola clearly dominated them from start to finish, winning the game 41-0. The Marvins started off the season not to well, but they later picked it up and now are in the playoff picture. This should help the Marvins jump up on the conference standing by a bit, as long as few key teams lose. If the Angola Dream can blowout the ShadowChasers, the Marvins surely can. The Marvins came the closest to beating the Kalahari Night Riders, losing by just one single point. Their strong offense will shine as bright as the sun in this game, to keep them in the close playoff race. All signs are pointing to a Marvins win, possibly a blowout. There still is that 10% chance of a shocker from Sahara. I expect the 90% chance of a Marvins win to overcome that slim 10%. Good luck to both teams, as this should be pretty close.
41-28 Marvins
Sierra Leone Thunderbolts(5-4-0) @ Egypt Empire(1-8-0)
The Empire were actually the favorite for their last game, but they just couldn't get a game-winning FG or TD, losing their game to the Madagascar Outlaws by a score of 14-16. The Thunderbolts have won three straight, and have only allowed six points in the course of three games. I can't call them strong however, as they played the Madagascar Outlaws, the winless Eritrea Evarcha culicivora, and the lowly Fort Wayne Generals. The Empire's only win came against the middle-of-the-road Atlantic Blue Jays, in a 14-13 upset. The Empire hasn't had anything close to an upset since then, and they will look to drop their ninth game. The Thunderbolts will look to pick up another win, and try to hang on to that 8th spot to make the playoffs as th eighth or even seventh seeded team. Look for Sierra Leone to force a lot of turnovers against Egypt, I'm guessing 2 interceptions and 1 FF. The offense will punch in into the endzone multiple times, and kicker Tim Morrison might nail an FG or two. Overall, this game shouldn't be that close.
35-3 Sierra Leone
Fort Wayne Generals(3-6-0) @ Uganda SilverBacks(4-5-0)
Uganda has pulled some upsets this season, including a dominant win over the powerful Minnesota Mafia last game. Fort Wayne has picked up their wins against lowly teams, such as Eritrea Evarcha culicivora, Egypt Empire, and the Madagascar Outlaws. I wouldn't exactly call Uganda a weak team, as they begun their season facing top tier teams, and then they started facing teams of their caliber. They should be one of those late-season playoff run teams, and they have a good chance at nailing the 8th seed off the Sierra Leone Thunderbolts. Uganda's offense is better than their defense, so look for them to punch a lot of points on the board. Fort Wayne are an average team, but not good enough to beat a surging team like the Uganda SilverBacks. This should be a close game, but as always, someones gotta win it, unless they tie, which is pretty rare.
45-28 Uganda
Atlantic Blue Jays(3-6-0) @ African Killer Frogs(1-8-0)
This league is full of strong teams and upsets, but this matchup looks pretty tight. Atlantic has had their shots and some lower teams, and they have lost at some games they should have won. With the recent hiring of defensive coordinator Eric92, the Blue Jays look to fix their defensive problems. QB George Boyd has been commanding the offense very well, and Nicholas Alexander has helped repair the once abandoned running game. If the Blue Jays can run successfully, it will enable the pass, which should translate into a win. The Frogs have higher levels than the Jays do, but sometimes levels don't mean that much. Will the Frogs get their run game going also enabling the pass? This should be a good game, but it's pretty hard to says going to win. This should be a tough one, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say the Blue Jays will break their 5 game losing streak.
21-19 Atlantic
