In an attempt to cover the hottest game in the conference, this week will mark our premier matchup to watch.
(T4, 6-3) Lima Cheetahs vs (T4, 6-3) Darfur Tyrants
Both teams come into this game riding a 2 game winning streak.
Offense: Lima holds a pretty substantial advantage in the passing game, and a slight advantage running the ball.
Offensive guys to watch out for: The right side of the Cheetah's line is solid, and they have an excellent weapon at tight end for blocking and passing. The opposite is true for the Tyrants; their left side is strongest, especially inside following Doziered.
Defense: Lima is slightly better against the run but it's a wash defending the pass.
Defensive guys to watch out for: The defensive ends for Darfur are very good. Lima has had great coverage from their cornerbacks and good safeties to prevent getting beat deep.
Special teams: It's a wash; both are pretty good in this area.
Prediction: The nod has to go to Lima, who benched most of their starters this week to give them rest and get their backups good experience. We expect a 28-13 score in the Cheetah's favor.
If Lima loses this, with their remaining games all against teams over .500, their season may be over. Darfur however has 2 gimme's and a few against lower caliber talent, so they can rebound from a loss. But this game will probably decide who's the better team for a tight 2nd-tier in the lion conference, so it'll be very telling as to who's for real and who isn't.
