Interesting... I quickly counted them on League stats page.. math might be off a hair.

guesses below...
1.Sim change?

2. Lower pass quality since agents are pumping more points into pump fake?

3. Better pass defense builds

4. Better Custom Defenses

5. more CPU teams

6. better pass rushing builds

7. Even more passing then last season

?????

2 through 7 have probably had a small impact... who knows on the sim change?

Good news for Crackertown is that our QB builds will be better this season then last. Most of our builds will be better AI is another story because that takes time and actually watching sims.. tough to do when you're saving the world (MW3).

We have thrown a ton of ints. Our PF QBs stopped PFing and can't throw otherwise. Defenses have been some of the most diverse I have seen in peewee this season. I think our offense has been pretty predictable and coverages have been great on those plays.

2,3,4 and 7

Having said that....

I think the sim sucks. There is one play we have called from day one and the QBs are throwing 5 yards off every time, no matter who they target.
I thought we would see an improvement as builds got better and levels higher, but no, the QB just throws off target all the time.
So - SIM could be a big part.

but I still say 2,3,4 and 7 are the main ones.

We throw drunk now. Doesn't matter who we play, we have tons of retarded passes.

i think its more to do with laziness than anything else, you look at the top idk 3-4 plays from every team and they are all the same so DC's are having an easier time, plus by the looks of the scouting reports alot of teams use the same plays every game, so if the DC just scouts and gameplans for 5 mins they will most likely prevent the other team scoring much.

We had 10 INTs in the 4 playoff games last season. End of season defensive builds always increased risk of passing, even before the accelerated players development. ... just seems a little excessive this season. The FG / PAIN NATION game is a perfect example ....

I am not sure about the rest of the league but SBWL has only thrown 4 all season....that seems legit...and we have mostly the same builds as last season at least as far as throwing and PF go.....

well except for ours is so low because the QB's routinely throw it so far from the WR no one has a chance to catch it........LOL

Does seem like something a little different in the SIM......but I guarantee if there was a SIM change it was not to directly affect Pee Wee since they don't care enough about pee wee.....but some higher level intended change could be having some impact

What are you talking about? That was our plan all along

Seriously though, our defensive builds are MUCH different this year. After seeing the aforementioned 10INT's in the 4 playoff games, I decided I wanted in on that action. I think the accelerated player development is a factor too. Not only are Defensive builds much better by mid-season, but the added levels are diminishing the "passing boost" earlier in the season. I don't have much invested in PF, and think I have some really good builds this year, but our QB's have been just awful at times.

Edit to add: Oh yeah, and Rizyx is tearing it up for us

I think a big part of it is the defenses/builds. Now with the accelerated player development teams are able to actually play a mix of zone/man coverage since you can now get vision/agility high enough w/o sacrificing speed. I think a fair number of the INT's are nabbed by a guy in a zone just underneath the route.

Although, a lot of the INT's are also on the HB passes. It used to be that the defender would run in and the HB would run right by him and catch the pass. Now those same defenders are still running in stupidly, but they can recover more quickly...so the HB looks open and the QB throws the pass (to where he's standing, NOT leading him) which allows the safety or LB to reverse direction and be right there for the pick. These passes are still open, but not like they used to be...there is now more of a risk/reward factored in.

Not to mention that almost 1/3 of the INT's are by the 5 CPU teams.

And add in the throws that are 10 yards from the receiver and right to a defender, lol.

I honestly wonder if BORT accidentally turned off the scaling passing buff.
