What do you guys think about having a Mid-point all-star team?

This is completely going by stats... (i have no other way to compare)

QB:
1st -Nikky Fox (leading league with 2345.5 yards. and 2nd in TD's)
2nd-Green Arrow (leading league with 22 Tds)

HB:
1st: Runbot 3000 (leading league in yrd. 2nd in touchdowns)
2nd: YouBlink ImGone (3rd in league in yrds and touchdowns... all while only lvl 13!!)

WR:
1st: Hawk Vesher (leading league in yrds, and kicking ass with a 7.1 YAC)
2nd: Jamal Lincoln (leading league in yrds and 2nd in rec yrds.)

TE:
1st: Sticky Hands the TE (leading league in TDs for a TE... plus a very decent YAC)

O-Line: (Unfortunately I'm not going to do the O-linemen.. only because I don't believe there's an accurate measurement of skill. Yes, we have pancakes, but there so much more that goes into an o-lineman's value to his team other than pancakes. Like not allowing any sacks, but there's not a measurable. So Instead, i'm giving this to Bangkok Buddhas)
1st. Bangkok Buddhas: Has only allowed their QB, Jimmy Morrison, to be hurried 9 times and sacked once. While boasting the leagues best rushing attack.

DE:
1st: (I'd like to put myself here, but i think that's tacky...) Jeeberoni Potpie: leads league in sacks and 2nd in hurries)
2nd: Double Deuce Raptor: This guy is only a level 13, 7 levels lower than the league leading sack leader (no level 16 equipment upgrade) and he is 4th in hurries and has 6 PD's

DT:
1st: My boy... Eric The Midget: 1st in sacks for a DT and 2nd in hurries for a DT)
2nd: Siua Musika: 1st in hurries for a DT.

LB: - (Note: any DB with a high amount of tackles isn't being productive, yes they should be making those tackles, but lets face it, the defense isn't doing its job if your DB has the most tackles.)

1st: Jason Hashem Leading league in meaningful tackles (herman doesn't count). He also has 5 hurries and 2 sacks (not bad)
2nd:Lorenzo Bennett 2nd in league in meaningful tackles (herman and bristle back don't count) Also has 3 hurries

CB:
1st: Jesus Dejesus: leading league with 8 INT's and has 25 PDs 4th in league
2nd: Trillion Dollar Man: Only a lvl 15, he's a starter that doesn't have many tackles, which means he's doing his job. But he has 19 PD's and 4 INTs with 2 for 6pts.

FS and SS. There's no way to measure these. Sorry

Pretty good list here, glad to see the Buddhas offense represented so well.

Possibly around week 13 I was planning on doing some sort of ballot for an ALL PRO team, possibly with only owners and gms or just owners voting, haven't decided yet.

If you do that, you should make it a point to not allow anyone to vote for another player in his team.

that way you get true results...

Also, can you think of another way to objectify a FS and SS's success?

I have a FS and SS myself, and I'm proud of them when they have no tackling stats. I don't mind PDs or INTs, but lets face it, the job of the FS is to make the QB throw the other way.

Also, we should also be subjective with who we put on the list. If a level 13 player is just a tad below a level 20 player, my vote goes towards the lower leveled guy.

For the voting to be successful there would have to be many restrictions.. no voting for teammates, voting only once per position - and only allowed to vote for a 'top 10' in each position(to make sure ppl vote for good players and not vote for 'bad' players, so no one could gain an edge).

I believe it could work though.

Ed Reed got it for FS last year in the NFL, he had 7 ints and 39 tackles.
Bob Sanders got it at SS with like 90 something tackles, 3.5 sacks, and 3 or so ints if I recall correctly.

These guys obviously do more than just those statistics show for their respective defenses, but I think in situations like this we have no choice to go by anything but stats. The NFL even seems to do this also, the all pro team selected Samuel and Cromartie for the team, they both had great statistical years, but they aren't the best corners in the game, anyone would take Bailey or Woodson over them.

Shouldn't an all-pro ballot be done after the last regular season game (especially here where the schedules will still be substantially imbalanced with 3 games left to go)?

That's why the thread title isn't "Southeast Asia AA #4 Season 3 All-stars"

I know. I wasn't talking about the mid-season all-start, I was referring to nfratami's post. I should have quoted it to be clear.

It's alright, it's an anonymous forum for a fake football game. If you can't sound like a dick here without apology, where can you?

That would be pretty cool.

Also it's good to see youblink Imgone up on the list.

Pretty good point, maybe after week 15? Week 16 can def cause some imbalance.

That's a very good point about the week 16 games, nfratami. Plus, sending the ballots out after week 15, would give us time to get them in before the playoffs start.

I love this idea.

Can we all agree right now that no one will cast a vote for Rick Blaine, QB for the Winona Warriors. His stats are mediocre at best, and his attitude makes him a plague in our locker room. Rick Blaine is a cancer that could eventually tear up SE Asia AA #4 if he's not put in his place. He also sleeps with some of the ugliest women and men that you've ever seen.

Thank you.

Rick Blaine has recently been linked to Sandra Oh and Rosanne Barr. Yikes!
