Some of you may remember back a couple of seasons I go I would run the rankings script and post some thoughts. Well, I think I am going to bring it back this season, see what I can do.
1. It might just be me, but Alpha seems much tougher than Zeta.
Again, it might just because RToF is in Alpha. To go along with the 8 playoff teams from a season ago you have Kai, Alpine and RToF. All of which won their league. And were 3 of the best pro teams last season. It is going to be a nasty fight in alpha. I am really looking forward to it.
2. A break down of teams by geographical/Pro League affiliation.
USAPL - 6 (2 Alpha, 4 Zeta)
CPL- 5 (4 Alpha, 1 Zeta)
EEPL- 5 (1 Alpha, 4 Zeta)
APL- 5 (2 Alpha, 3 Zeta)
OPL -4 (2 Alpha, 2 Zeta)
WEPL- 3 (3 Alpha, 0 Zeta)
SAPL- 2 (1 Alpha, 1 Zeta)
SEAPL- 2 (1 Alpha, 1 Zeta)
Conversely, it seems that SEAPL and SAPL will be the toughest pro leagues to promote out of. Seems like it is just part of a cycle.
3. WL Fantasy, Great Idea.
I can see this being something that Bort picks up and makes it a part of the game like AA's League contest. It will be interesting to watch play out and adds a whole new dimension to the game, maybe something that is needed!

5. Surprise teams to watch out for this season.
By surprise teams, I really mean teams that have not really made their mark on the WL before. Semarang, Kai, RToF, or any previous playoff team doesn't really count.
Alpha- Timpanogos Thunder
Considering there are only really two teams to choose from in Alpha, I am going with TT. They have a great ground game and control the clock and the ball, something that is important up here. I once said that if you gave me the Rushing yards and TOP for a game, I could tell you who won the game 97% of the time.
Zeta- BLACK OPS 7
Zeta seems to be a little more wide open. Black Ops has a great DC and some good dots, would not be surprised at all to see them go 10-6 and surprise some of the big teams. Obviously, I could be very wrong
Games of the week
Since we have the inter-conference games being played today, I can't really go by conference like I normally would.
Canton Immortals vs. Lincoln Navigators
This, is by far the game of the week, the other 15 seem to lack some sexiness. I am going with Lincoln based on nothing more than a guess.
