I'm planning on voting for Obama in 2012, but that's not a fucked up avatar, it just shows that he doesn't like Obama.

"Drinking the Kool-Aid" is a metaphor, used in the United States and Canada, that means to become an unquestioning believer in some ideology, or to accept an argument or philosophy wholeheartedly or blindly without critical examination.

Drinking the Kool-Aid come from the Jonestown massacre in the late 70s (or early 80s? I forget). There was a cult and their leader asked them all to drink poisoned Kool-Aid - which everyone did, knowing full well that it was going to kill them. So basically it means to have so much blind faith in a leader that promises you something on the other end, even if all logic dictates that it's not true. His cult followers had so much faith in him that they all voluntarily died just to get a ride on the afterlife space ship in his promised utopia.
Definitely no racist elements whatsoever.
ADDED: DOH! I forgot to say: Awesome freakin' play. lol
