OK guys here we are at the mid-point of the season. Half-way home and here is where we stand. Of course everyone won't be happy, and some things will definitely change by season's end but here is how I see it at this point.

Feel free to discuss, whine, gloat, or take this totally off topic like only you guys can... and seem to EVERY time! So without further delay...


The Power 10:
1.) San Fran Gold Rush: |-| (8-0) They are still the team to beat. Closer game than usual vs the upstart Riders from The Elephant. But still the team with which to gauge all others.
Last Game: W 13-9 @ The Elephant Riders
Next Game: vs (5-3) Xi’an Xplosivo

2.) Pennsylvania Silver Knights: |-| (8-0) They are still the team to beat in Alpha. Readily handled the Rickrollers @ The Vestibule. With AA and Bay Area already in their rearview the #1 seed is theirs to lose.
Last Game: W 34-3 @ The Vestibule
Next Game: vs (4-4) Mongolian Horde

3.) Algeria Addiction: |-| (7-1) Shutout dismantling of the Dogs. There is one team in Alpha that could beat AA and they already did it by 1 point. It should be smooth sailing into the conference Championship for the Addiction.
Last Game: W 60-0 @ Hagåtña
Next Game: vs (0-8) Columbus

4.) Singapore Flames: |+2| (6-2) Big win vs then #4 Bali jumps the Flames up a few spots. As I stated last week, on paper this team is a little weaker than the other top tier teams, but they find ways to win. This week Bali seemed to beat them in every statistical category except the one that matters.
Last Game: W 20-16 @ Bali
Next Game: vs (5-3) Davao

5.) Bali Waves: |-1| (7-1) They came up 7 yds short vs Singapore to suffer their first loss of the season. But they have no time to worry about that one as they now must prepare for their trip to Hong Kong, where the Hustlers have returned to form after early season struggles.
Last Game: L 16-20 vs Singapore
Next Game: @ (5-3)Hong Kong

6.) Hong Kong Hustlers: |+5| (5-3) Back in the day when I used to hustle in the pool halls, I would go in and play pretty bad at first. Then I’d start to talk shit to others in the pool hall. When told to put my money where my mouth was then I’d place bets, then run the table the rest of the night. Sounds like the boys from Hong Kong are taking a page from my book. Can they continue vs the Waves?
Last Game: W 12-0 @ Sault Ste Marie
Next Game: vs (7-1) Bali

7.) Sault Ste Marie Metalheads: |-2| (6-2) Latest to be Hustled by the boys from Hong Kong. The Metalheads , now on a 2 game losing streak, played great D as always, their Offense just doesn’t show up some times. This could be a serious handicap come playoff time
Last Game: L 0-12 vs Hong Kong
Next Game: @ 4-4 Thailand

8.) Bangkok Blue Demons: |-1| (5-3) In the middle of the Zeta equivalent of the 2 week bye (3P followed by Garut.) Thought about dropping them out of the Top 10 for allowing 3 points.
Last Game: W 73-3 vs Phnom Penh
Next Game: vs (1-7) Garut

9.) Bay Area Riders: |-1| (6-2) Close game vs a mediocre Horde team. The Riders will be a top seed in Alpha, but as I stated last week and their narrow victory shows, they might struggle to make the playoffs if they were in Zeta. Lucky for them!

Next Game: vs (3-5) Krungthep

10.) Hiroshima Radiation: |-1| (8-0) Still haven’t played anyone worth mentioning. I honestly feel The Elephant Riders are more deserving of this 10th spot but that might be the Zeta bias. So since the Radiation remains unbeaten I’ll allow them to remain in the Top 10… for now

Upset of the Week:
#12 Vestibule Rickrollers @ #14 Hanoi Knights
Knights win streak and Rickrollers losing streak both extend to 3. Hanoi 26, Rickrollers 20

Hopefully that upset doesn't happen. Either way, the Rickrollers should have no problem with their last 7 games and should have a lot of momentum going into the playoffs.

So by your logic, if we play lets say Algeria and PA Silver Knights, get blown out, yet since they are good teams, we go up the rankings despite losing?

I imagine thats similar to how you justify the Bangkok Blue Demons...a team that played weak teams, get blown out by better teams yet sit high up in the charts.

Perfect example of the whining I mentioned above. If you don't like my rankings don't read them, or better yet put in the time to make your own.

But here I'll give you a little justification although I really don't need to. Bangkok lost by 9 to SSM, not exactly a blow out. Yes they were handled by Bali early in the season, and by SF (but who hasn't been.) They have a quality win vs a very good HKH team, and they have handled everyone else.

Hiroshima hasn't played any of the top 3 teams in their conference. They weren't real convincing vs the Horde.

In your PS you mention beating #12 and #13...ok... and you are ranked #10. seems right to me.

In your PSS you mention not being able to control the schedule or conference configurations... guess what... neither can I. I just rank them like I see them. There are 7 teams in Zeta where the starters average levels are higher than those on Hiroshima.

Beat PSK. Beat AA. Beat Bay Area. Prove me wrong. I'll admit it once you prove it to me.

BTW... Yes ALL HAIL ZETA! Zeta is the dominant conference in this league. Your team will win their week 16 inter-conference battle because you are playing one of the worst teams in Zeta. I really wish you were playing one of the better teams so we could both see where you stand.

Congrat's Singapore, nice game. It's always fun watching when it comes down to the last drive/play (just a little funner when the result is more favorable for us). Good luck the rest of the way and maybe we'll get another shot at you in the playoffs.

Yes, Yes you can. However it's based on Margin of Victory (or defeat), And Average level of player. You guys do have the Chemistry advantage. As I stated I felt you guys deserved to be in the Top 10 but I couldn't remove anyone else.
