Currently playing LOLB, primarily used in coverage. What is a good target end-build for Strength? Would 68-70 be enough?

Yeah, if you're used in coverage a lot 68 will be fine end build

To a point... jumping and vision helps more. What's your point? How high are you suggesting OP take his strength?

I like my LB's to be effective at playing the run as well as the pass. When I was playing lolb I was constantly going up against blocking TE's and you have to have strength if you don't wanna get punked.

I say bare minimum 75ish if you don't want this to happen.

I think you posted the wrong replay... and in any case that is what tagging is for. Have the power LB's come in and cover the blocking TE, coverage guy comes in and covers the receiving TE. Only really difficult against ower receivers who block for the run game and can catch as well.

I hear ya on the tagging but that also lets the offense dictate who is on the field which OC's can take advantage of. I know the sim seems to hate duality but I feel like you can build a LB that's good at defending both the run and the pass.

even if your LB is built for coverage he has to able to stop the run. tagging or no tagging, he cant only play on 3rd and long

so what about high tackling and some strength (~70 endbuild) plus DvG

Strength is less important than Tackling. 68 Strength and 77 Tackling would be good. With all the right VAs and AEQ you won't miss many tackles. The difference between 68 and 75 wouldn't be huge, but that's almost 30SP. With that you could still get Vision to 80. Jumping is less important too, 60 would be fine.

Assuming Speed will be 155+

Just my opinion.

If we're talking about a coverage OLB, I disagree. With as many SPs as we're getting now, it shouldn't be difficult to take jumping to 68, which is the low end of what a coverage OLB will want for deflecting passes.
