The new XP rules make a non-boosting Gold team pretty much useless since a non-boosted team will be 3 levels down the whole season. Thus I see no need to keep TIA past this season as I can't afford two boosted teams.

That leaves me with 3 options on what to do with TIA. I can just have all CPU players next season and let the team get demoted before I drop the team, but I don't like giving a conference a CPU team to pound on. Or I can just not renew the team and let it turn CPU, but then anyone can pick them up and I would prefer it the team stays in the hands of gold talent. The last option is to find a gold talent to take over the team. This is the only option that allows TIA to remain competitive next season and it the path I would prefer to take.

So...if anyone would like to own a Gold team rather than just being a gold coordinator/gm/agent, just send me a PM. I will cover the renewal fee for S24 and will bring the new owner on as a GM until I am ready to make the transfer later this season. I am also willing to stay on as a coach to help the new owner in any role they need(if needed) and could probably field a few boosted players also.

While this is the original TIA team that Biodome owned and had in Gold for a number of seasons, it's up to the new owner if they want to keep the TIA name or change it. I am unfamiliar with the ownership transfer process, so if someone could let me know how to do it, that would be great!

One last thing, after 10 seasons in the West, I plan on moving my Bears team to the East for a change of pace, which means TIA will end up in the West before any transfer happens.

If multiple people are interested, I will just pick the best candidate based in part on involvement with other Gold teams and overall ability to field a competitive Gold team.

Team transfer process is pretty simple. Message Support...they confirm with the agent you name as the new owner...they transfer ownership. However, when you transfer ownership, any flex that you have invested for team renewal will go back to you, and the new owner will be charged the flex of owning the team the next season.

Thanks for the info. Does the new owner need to be listed as a co-owner on the team before the transfer, or any position on the team, or do they even need to be on the team?

Guess I won't be covering the S24 fees then...

You could always ask an Agent like: bgw1, rizyx, manowar, bmac, jet3carolina if they want first dibs.. At least you know they'll be competitive..

Regardless, it sounds like we may have a handful of CPU teams again next season if we can't work something out...

I agree, old Gold talent would make a great TIA owner, so if any of them are interested, they just need to let me know. I'll become more proactive if no one comes forward, but for now, seeing who contacts me first.

So if I let my ownership expire, that means the team stays in gold and goes cpu (and open to purchase) ? I don't care what happens to my team after I'm gone, but I'd hate to leave it as a worthless cpu in gold.

correct..... it will be a Gold CPU team...

I knew this was going to happen...

Do what Gerr is doing.. Try and find a worthy buyer ASAP.. Let them buy the team as soon as you are out of the Playoffs..

This is a just a few agents I suggested to Gerr: bgw1, rizyx, manowar, bmac, jet3carolina.....

OK, I found someone who will make all the players for me in S24 while I prep him to take over the team in S25. Thus TIA is now off the market.

If you are still looking for a team, there is another thread listing all the teams that are looking for new owners, so check there.

No....In the past, teams that expire on day 40 have been automatically demoted. Unless that has changed, I'm pretty sure that it will happen that way again.

For all those that don't find owners. Sell the team on day 40 and they will be demoted......

I thought someone did that last season or the season before and the team was not demoted as expected?

I think what youre remembering is when they sold early and people bought them as cpu teams. so then technically they weren't cpu at day 40 so they didnt get demoted. even though the owners had had the teams for only a couple days
