The East

Langley Raptors vs. Sconnie Badgers
Interesting matchup, but the Badgers are much better on almost every front. Sconnie ought to find success with their dominant rushing game, but, against an Eastern Conference worst passing defense, expect them to air it out for some big gains as well.
Sconnie Badgers 35, Langley Raptors 6

Washington Wolfpack vs. New England Red Celtics
NERC's passing defense isn't bad, but that doesn't mean they can stop the aerial force that is the Wolfpack. Nimitz will fire away with one or two missteps in the form of interceptions. Wolfpack's defense will bend with a lot of yardage let up, but not break. I personally think this could be a closer match than expected, similar to their play against the Fury.
Washington Wolfpack 17, NERC 7

New Orleans Fanboys vs. Tennessee Fury
A good team faces a great one in what could be the upset of the week. If the Fanboys forego the ground and rely on their middling passing game, they have a shot of beating the force that is the Fury. Not much else to say about it.
New Orleans Fanboys 14, Tennessee Fury 10

Seabrook Energy vs. Dearborn Bullitt
A battle of the bottom dwellers (Not that I have any room to criticize). If Seabrook puts it to the air, they have a shot. Otherwise...
Dearborn Bullitt 40, Seabrook Energy 13

Viridian Vanguards vs. Buffalo Daggers
Hard to pick this without bias, but I think it'll be similar to Viridia's game last week. Close, but no cigar against a team coming off a great upset last week.
Buffalo Daggers 17, Viridian Vanguards 14

Philadelphia Wolves vs. Lizard Lick Lizard Lickers
The most exciting matchup of the week, bar none. Expect the Wolves to shut down the LLLL's air game and have a rough, back and forth game on the ground. In the end, though, my boy Weiss and the LLLL push forward for a tight win and improve to 4-3.
LLLL 23, Philadelphia Wolves 20

Washington Slashers vs. Jacksonville Demon Sweat
Hah. Wow.
Washington Slashers 54, Jacksonville Demon Sweat 3

PTT Villagers vs. Memphis River Rats
I don't know what to say about this one. I see a possibility for an upset, but it's a game to watch for sure.
PTT Villagers 24, Memphis River Rats 16

I like the way this man thinks. Should be a good one today.

Thanks for the love, Hero. We'll try to make you look good with that pick. Wolves/Lizard Lick definitely looks like one of the week's better matchups. I'll be interested in seeing the result of Fury/Fanboys, too. Like you, I'm expecting a good game. Meanwhile, the River Rats are in about the same spot we are, sitting at 3-3. They need a win over PTT today as much as we need one over the Wolves. I'm sure they'll make that game worth watching.

The last game we went into with doubt about the gameplan was the Wolfpack game....before today.

The Fanboys have a good team that MAY have the pieces to exploit our weaknesses. Hopefully we've found a way to cover them up for this game (and still be able to exploit the Fanboys' weaknesses).

Good luck to you too...and I fully suspect it will be a good, close game (although I wouldn't mind handing out another beatdown, LOL).

Good luck today Royals. It should be a fun game to watch as long as the turnovers don't steal the show.

Since the Western teams seem to be slacking this week on the predictions, I'll give a quick Eastern perspective on their games:

Mentone Beach Assault @ Colorado Ice
In the upset of the week... yeah, right. 76-0 Assault.

Richey Royals @ San Diego Demolition
Great matchup. The Demolition have looked good since stumbling against Spokane, but until somebody shows them up, I've got to pick the Royals. 30-20 Royals.

Barbarian Horde @ Chicago Hedgehogs
This is another intriguing matchup. The two teams have had no opponents in common, and it's been a while since the Horde faced a team that could really give them a good game. Chicago can do that, and I'm expecting a slugging match, with the Horde shaking off the rust to win a very close one. 17-13 Horde.

New Brunswick Scarlet Knights @ Aurora Seminoles
The Seminoles keep their streak alive! 34-3 Scarlet Knights.

Denver Shockers @ Huskers Illustrated Bugeaters
The Bugeaters come in on a 2-game skid, but the Shockers could be in for a rough stretch of their own with Bugeaters, Royals, and Demolition over the next 3 games. 42-6 Bugeaters.

Austin Beavers @ Death Valley Grave Diggers
As owner of LLLL, I can sympathize with the 3-3 Grave Diggers, who have fared about like us in the early season. The Beavers will come to play, but I think Death Valley has their number today. 34-6 Grave Diggers.

Oklahoma City Strikers @ Spokane Dream
The Strikers have had some pretty hard luck this season, and Spokane picked up one of the season's most exciting wins against the Demolition. I've got to pick the Strikers today, though. They've been close a few times this season, and I think they come through against the Dream. 24-3 Strikers.

Coos Bay Black Chickens @ Cleveland Elves
This one looks more competitive than some of the other games out West this week. I've got to give it to Coos Bay, though. 24-10 Black Chickens.

Good picks Weiss. I'd pick the Royals as well if they weren't playing us this week
