I will no longer be posting the mathematical power rankings that I had been posting for two reasons. First they do not seem to be as accurate as I had hoped. Second they take me about 90 minutes if not more to input the data into excel and then into a post in this forum. I will start posting a subjective (meaning my opinion) power rankings. I will only be posting this for Zeta as I do not know much about the Alpha teams.

1. London Hitmen - Best returning team from last season and undefeated. Will be considered the top team until another team proves otherwise.

2. Birmingham Cardinals - Top tier team but lost twice to the hitmen last year. This team could be considered 1b instead of 2.

3. Berlin Ballers - Surprise team to start the season undefeated. Beat quality opponents such as Iverness and Paris showing they arent a fluke team. In my opinion though the weakest of the three teams with perfect records.

4. Iverness Highlanders - Tough schedule to start the season. Should be able to bounce back and move up a couple spots in the standings and take a home game in the first round of the playoffs.. Wouldn't be surprised to see them finish as high as third. All three of their losses have come verse the top three in the league.

5. Stockholm Syndrome - Lost to two of the three undefeated teams. Should finish around the 4th or 5th spot but right now it looks like Iverness is the better team.

6. Aarhus Stingers - Good team but lost to the two teams I ranked ahead of them that arent undefeated.

7. Paris Colonels - Riding a three game losing streak and it doesnt look to get any better as they face the Hitmen in their next game. If they can beat the teams they should they will make the playoffs but wont last long in them.

8. Live Oak Eagles - New team from Canada Pro that looked to be a top tier team but have already lost to two teams and still have to face all three of the top tier teams and Iverness. Live Oak should sneak into the playoffs maybe more if they can learn to game plan better as they have the talent.

9. Mobile Alabama Leprechauns - Much improved from last year but will still find themselves on the outside looking in coming playoff time.

10. Dublin Dragoons - Decent team but just doesn't have enough talent to make the playoffs this year. They should finish as one of the better non playoff teams though.

11. Barcelona Bandits - Looks like a 5 win team. There is always next year.

12. Bushy Park Badgers - Should be in a dog fight with Barcelona for the "coveted 11 seed" but will probably lose out in the end.

13. Frankfurt Universe - There sole win has come verse a team that hasnt won a game yet.

14. Nuremberg Nightknights - Another team that has their only win come verse a team on the losing end of a perfect record.

15. Bordeaux Carlin - Cedo is working hard and should keep this team from being relegated.

16. Ceder Creek Wildcats - A previously gutted team that its owner and gm's have brought back to decent status but will most likely get the not down to single A.

Feel free to discuss and remember these are only my opinions.

Nice, playoffs... whew, I no longer feel like Jim Mora. Oh, it is a nice feeling. I hope the gameplanning gets better for our sake. Last game I think was evidence we CAN gameplan or atleast or LEARNING how to.

Well these do seem accurate. I see some picks I don't agree with, but they're only off by a spot and I agree with where you have Stockholm. There usually is a real dogfight for that 4th seed I'm hoping having the tiebreaker with Live Oak and Aarhus helps us out.

Yep...there are some teams I might flip-flop, but it's about the same as I would say.

I am not sure I agree with Mobile being where they are. Their three wins are not impressive.
by 4 over a 1-6 team
by 7 over a 1-6 team
by 40 over a 0-7 team

Ther 4 losses were 2 complete blowouts against undefeated teams, a 32-3 loss vs. a 4-3 team and a 6 points loss vs. a 5-2 team. Not likely they should be at 9.

When I was comparing them with Dublin neither of them really had any wins that stuck out. So then I looked at losses. Mobile has played a tougher schedule so I gave them the edge there. Then I looked at the head to head matchup and where each team had the advantage. There tied in overall, receiving and rushing. Mobile has a slight advantage in blocking, both at 39 but mobile is green. Mobile has a 3 point lead in pass defense. Dublin has a 3 point lead in rush defense and passing and a big 9 point lead in kicking. Looks very even but I didnt put much consideration in the 9 point kicking lead because how many game points is that really going to be worth? So I believe Dublin and Mobile are very close but I feel Mobile has the slight edge even though the record says the other way.

Actually, the kicking bar far more favors kickers than punter so it is decieving. A punter is huge though. Like my game today. I think have 40+ over 30+ is HUGE.

I'm guessing this is opinion and not the formula?

Thank you Islander great power ranking! i prefer them like that but that's not the same amount of time...

Kind words! We try our best to stay with you guys! In 9 next matches we will have 4 matches winnables. I think our team can save her butt but the schedule and bad luck hurt us plenty!

I'm looking for the 1-2-3 position and 11-16 because that's hard fight!

I am not really sure the point your trying to make here. Not trying to argue with you I just want a clarification. Your last game you had a 45 kicking and your opponent had a 54. The fact you won this game while having slightly better rankings in other places while being killed in the kicking ranking I believe proves my point that Mobile is better than Dublin.

I find the power bars a bit distracting. It penalizes teams for depth.

Do you mean the overall rating?

And I looked at plenty of different factors in coming up with this such as win/loss record, quality of wins, quality of losses, points scored, (didnt really look at pointas against that much because sometimes teams place their scrub d when they get up big), overall rating. I also took into account how some teams did last year in relations to others when I was comparing two teams that were both here last year.
